Accrington Stanley have won all four of their previous Football League meetings with Colchester United, the most they have faced a side in the top four tiers without ever failing to win.
Accrington Stanley are the only side that Colchester have lost each of their first four Football League meetings against.
After winning successive home league games against Forest Green Rovers and MK Dons, Accrington could win three in a row for the first time since March 2022 (run of four).
Colchester manager Ben Garner’s only previous Football League encounter with Accrington was a 2-2 draw with Charlton on the opening day of League One last season. Miles Leaburn gave the Addicks a 2-1 lead in the 94th minute, before Korede Adedoyin equalised two minutes later for Stanley.
