It's been a special year for Wrexham.

They earned their second successive promotion to reach the third tier, currently sit third in the table and have only lost two league games on home soil this calendar year.

In fact, the Dragons haven't lost a single match at the Stok Racecourse in League One but today's opponents will want to mar the Welsh side's sparkling 2024 with the first away victory.

Blackpool have an impressively imposing record over the Red Dragons, having won 24 of their 28 league encounters since their first meeting in October 1983.

Forty one years later, however, Wrexham are a very different club and their Hollywood owners will be looking for a cinematic conclusion to a highly successful year at home.

But will it be Phil Parkinson's Wrexham who have the happy ending or will it be Steve Bruce's Tangerines interjecting their smiling faces into the final frame?
