Dan Creaney scored twice as Tamworth dealt bottom club Ebbsfleet a 3-2 home defeat in the National League.
Josh Wright's side have not won a game since 14 September and find themselves cast adrift in the relegation scrap, but gave themselves a fighting chance when George Moncur put them ahead.
But a quickfire double from Creaney in the run-up to half-time, netting in the 38th and 40th minutes, set the visitors on the way to a first win in seven games.
Both teams scored own goals, Alex Lankshear getting the final touch as Tamworth extended their lead before the break and Haydn Hollis returning the favour in the second half.
