"I am extremely proud of her for the way she has been able to deal with the most tragic thing in her life," Skinner said.
"She's been fantastic for us. I just want to push her more and help her get better and better for club and country.
"This year especially, she has just become the most incredible young woman that deals with pressure, that deals with football and life, and the spotlight of being Man United's probably most iconic player. I'm just so proud of her."

Everton were beaten 1-0 by Marc Skinner's side in September with Grace Clinton scoring the only goal against her former club.
"Earlier on in the season, in the reverse game, we should have got something out of it," Sorensen said. "It feels like years ago with the squad we have now. We feel more prepared to take the teams above us on and also with different solutions.
"Overall, we are in a good place. We know it is going to be extremely hard. We need to be ready for the game, that is for sure.
"We have a game plan and we see opportunities where we can hurt them. We have to concentrate for 90 minutes, if we don't they will take advantage of it."

The form has given a lot for Everton fans to be optimistic about.
It seems like the new group is backing the women's team and their wins have been around teams around them. They are not looking over their shoulder this season. They are looking ahead.

Grace Clinton scored against her former club in a 1-0 WSL win in September, before Maya Le Tissier scored in a 2-0 victory in the group stage of the League Cup.
United have never lost to Everton in the WSL, winning nine and drawing two of their 11 meetings.
Opta's 'supercomputer' prediction model has Chelsea as nailed-on favourites to lift the WSL trophy, with the Blues projected as champions in 99.4% of simulations.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have been given a slither of hope, with Opta giving them a 0.5% chance of winning the title.
Down at the other end of the table, Amandine Miquel's Leicester have all but confirmed their stay in the WSL for another season, with only a 0.5% chance of relegation.
The stats also favour Aston Villa and tell a worrying tale for Crystal Palace as they suggest the Eagles have a 76.8% chance of sitting bottom of the table on 10 May.

After winning the Championship last season, Crystal Palace have struggled to adapt during their first season in England's top division.
The club looked destined to go straight back down, but a 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Villa earlier this month has given Leif Smerud's side a fighting chance.
Villa, billed to break into the top four just 18 months ago, have struggled since Carla Ward's departure and they sit one point above Palace in the danger zone.

The Blues, looking to win their first league title under Sonia Bompastor, find themselves eight points clear at the top.
There have been no signs of teething problems under the new boss and Chelsea's dominance of the league - established under predecessor Emma Hayes - has continued.
With a maximum 15 points available from the remaining five games, the highest Arsenal and United could finish with is 54 points.
That means Chelsea could win the league, at the earliest, on 27 April when they take on United at Leigh Sports Village.

Their four-game series ended on Thursday, with Sonia Bompastor's side coming out on top overall with three wins, beating City to the League Cup trophy and knocking them out of the Champions League.
City will hope to bounce back from a disappointing 12 days when they face Brighton this afternoon.
