Harry Kane then shot from the centre circle, Leroy Sane had another chance and Jamal Musiala shot wide and over.
Then came the sucker punch from Real Madrid. Former Champions League winner with Bayern Toni Kroos with the pass through to Vinicius Jr to score past Manuel Neuer.
It was much more even after that, but if you have a look, Real Madrid are unbeaten in the now rebuilt Santiago Bernabeu for over a year.
You feel Thomas Tuchel and Bayern felt they needed to start fast and take a lead to Madrid but at the moment they are behind.
