    Ballymena United and Carrick Rangers also continued their perfect starts to the season with victories over Bangor and struggling Dungannon Swifts.

    Coleraine left it late to remain unbeaten as a late Matthew Shevlin winner helped them to defeat Glenavon.

    Coleraine maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-earned 2-1 win at Glenavon.

    Defender Adam Long gave them a 1-0 half-time lead but Paul McGovern levelled for the hosts midway through the second half.

    The home side were reduced to 10 men for the final 15 minutes when sub' Francely Lomboto was shown a red card.

    It was another sub' - Coleraine's Matthew Shevlin - who won the points for the visitors with a late header from Lyndon Kane's cross.

    Adam Lecky’s double in the first-half is enough to seal victory for Carrick Rangers on the road and maintain their early run of victories.

    Lecky came close to completing his hat-trick early in the second-half, and Danny Gibson and Paul Heatley also came very close to adding a third but for great saves by Declan Dunne in the Dungannon goal.

    Dungannon kept up their efforts until the final whistle but without much worrying Nathan Gartside.

    Lyndon Kane does all the hard work, making space on the right before delivering a cross to the back post where Shevlin, on as a second half sub', rises highest to head powerfully low past Carney and into the back of the net.
