Manager Jim Goodwin wants a "really solid" display away to Rapid Vienna as Dundee United strive to make progress in Conference League qualifying.
With a play-off against AIK Stockholm or FC Gyor at stake, Goodwin insists his players are full of belief for the first leg in Austria.
United beat UNA Strassen of Luxembourg in the previous round, with the Tannadice boss admitting the "performances weren't perfect" in each 1-0 win.
Goodwin has transformed his squad after a fourth place finish on their return to the Premiership last season and opened the new league campaign with a 2-2 draw at Falkirk on Sunday.
"We're confident going into the tie, we have to be," he told BBC Scotland. "We'll probably be in a different situation to the one we were in last week. I'm pretty sure we'll be the underdogs in a lot of people's eyes.
"But I never approach a game with a negative mindset."
Goodwin admitted "a lot of things have to fall into place" for his side to get a positive result in Vienna.
"Defensively, we have to be really solid," he explained. "The discipline and the organisation out of possession is going to be really important.
"It's a really exciting competition to be involved in. We've worked so hard to put ourselves in this position and we're going to give it everything we've got to make sure that next week we bring the tie back to Tannadice and there's still all to play for.
"We're not here to make up the numbers. We believe that we've got enough over the two legs to progress. That's going to be a big ask against a really good opposition, but you have to have that mentality going into these big games."
What about Rapid Vienna?
The hosts have started this season with four successive victories, overcoming FK Decic in the previous qualifying round, making progress in the OFB Cup and taking three points from their league opener at the weekend.
Both domestic wins were 1-0, while they got past the Montenegrin side 6-2 on aggregate.
Isaak Jansson has been sold to Nice, but some of that reported £8m fee has been spent on fellow wingers Andrija Radulovic and Petter Nosa Dahl.
Rapid hold the record for the Austrian titles with 32, but have not finished top of the Bundesliga since 2008.
Dundee United met Rapid in the quarter finals of the 1984 European Cup, Jim McLean's side winning through on away goals.
Twice European Cup Winners' Cup finalists, in 1985 and 1996, Rapid have been in the group stages of the Europa League and got to the last eight of the Conference League last season.
Team news

Ross Graham, Ryan Strain and Kristijan Trapanowski are all out long-term.
Austria Under-21 winger Nikolaus Wurmbrand is among those missing for the home side.
