Glasgow City produced one of their best performances of the season to comfortably brush aide Hearts, secure second place in the SWPL and pip Rangers to a Champions League qualification spot.
Rangers' defeat by champions Hibs gave the hosts a chance to leapfrog their city rivals and they scored early in both halves to keep Hearts at bay.
Kimberley Smit got the opener, nodding in from a simple corner routine, before Nicole Kozlova scored just a few seconds into the second half.
Stealing the ball from Hearts from kick-off, Kozlova was played in behind and produced a good first time finish to stretch City's lead.
Hearts had a few chances of their own, but failed to test Lee Gibson in the City goal.
"After the disappointment of losing out on the league title, the next objective was second place," City head coach Leanne Ross told BBC Alba.
"The players deserve it, the staff deserve it and it's a wee bit of payback to the supporters as well.
"The performances are excellent at times. Unfortunately we've fallen short at times, but we'll address them going into next season."
