Goncalo Guedes scored his first two Wolves goals since January 2023 as they beat Burnley to reach the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The Portugal forward, who has had loan spells at Benfica and Villarreal since his last strike for Wolves against Liverpool, hooked in following a cross by Brazilian debutant Pedro Lima.
And Guedes added a second when he ran on to a Daniel Podence through-ball and clipped the ball past Clarets keeper Vaclav Hladky.
He left the pitch to a standing ovation with 15 minutes to go.
Hladky, who should have done better for the opening goal, had earlier pulled off a fine double save to keep his side in the game.
He parried Podence's curling effort and then tipped Lima's rebound on to the post.
Wolves suffered a blow, though, as midfielder Boubacar Traore came off injured late in the first half.
That came on the day it emerged they are in advanced talks over a £21m move for Fluminense midfielder Andre, 23.
Wolves will visit Brighton in the third round next month.
Three players made their debut from the start for Burnley - Hannibal Mejbri, Bashir Humphreys and Joe Worrall.
But Scott Parker's Championship side barely threatened at all - and did not manage a shot on target.
