Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner: "All the teams are playing with their strongest teams and we are doing that as well.

"I expect a different game, against Villa there was a lot of attacking and it will be a bit more of the opposite [today].

"They're very good in transitions and they had two transition goals in the FA Cup against Leeds.

"I'm expecting it to be very loud, but I'm pretty sure our 22,000 fans will be louder than the 4,000 from Millwall."

Millwall boss Alex Neil on facing Crystal Palace: "What I will say, we will attack the game, we want to win the game, we won't be taking it lightly. We will go with the strongest team for us to win the game. Beyond that, I hope we perform well.

"I don't think there is going to be much motivating required from me due to the nature of the fact it's a local derby - there will be a great crowd there for both.

"The players will be more than motivated for this game."

This won't be easy for Crystal Palace, because former Norwich boss Alex Neil took charge of Millwall in December and is doing a good job.

They have been quite stubborn in recent weeks and I'm expecting more of the same here, but the Eagles should edge it in normal time.

Burnley manager Scott Parker to BBC Sport on the decision to leave out Hannibal Mejbri from today’s squad: “As I said earlier in the week in the press conference, fundamentally I need to protect Hannibal and making sure of the right decision. It has been a tough decision and we come here a bit weakened today because Hannibal is a vitally important member of this squad and I felt it was the best decision for Hannibal. I wouldn’t want to put him in a situation here which, could turn out to be, so we have made the decision for the best for Hannibal. That is why he is not in the matchday squad."

Was it a conversation with Hannibal or your decision? “It was mainly my decision. Hannibal was selectable today but he is a young boy that experienced something here only a few weeks ago and I just made that decision to keep him out of here and we have another game on Tuesday.”

Millwall

Millwall have been touched by tragedy over the past two summers.

In July 2023 owner and chairman John Berylson died from injuries sustained after his car overturned. And last summer their popular Montenegro goalkeeper Matija Sarkic passed away suddenly at the age of 26.

"I broke down crying [when I heard the news]," says Millwall goalkeeping coach Andy Marshall, who kept goal for the club in the 2004 FA Cup final.

Watford fans unfurled a banner at The Den on the opening weekend of the season which read: 'RIP Matija Sarkic'. There have been other acts of kindness from opposition fans.

When Millwall visited Hull City on 24 August, Tigers fan Leo Jamieson presented the team with a painting of Sarkic which now hangs on a wall at the club's Calmont Road training ground.

There's a large portion of the Millwall away section filled up and they're making noise as the team warms up in front of them.

There were jeers from the travelling Burnley fans when Milutin Osmajic's name was read out by the stadium announcer.

There's just eight miles of tarmac between The Den and Selhurst Park - and Millwall fans are arriving at their London rivals in good voice.

By kick-off there will be almost as many Millwall supporters inside Selhurst Park (3,781) than there were for the 3-0 third round home win over Dagenham (4,096) on 13 January.

The pre-match talk was around what would have if both Milutin Osmajic and Hannibal Mejbri were given starts by their respective clubs.

The Preston forward does play, but Burnley boss Scott Parker appears to be trying to take the sting out of the game by leaving out Hannibal.

When I asked Parker at the pre-match news conference on Thursday whether it was sad that the build-up to the game had been overshadowed by events from the previous meeting, he replied: "Of course it is.

"A live game at 12:15 GMT against our local rivals, on TV in the FA Cup, we shouldn’t be discussing and I shouldn’t be having to make decisions on an incident that took place."

However, another aspect to Hannibal's non-inclusion could be because of the start of Ramadan - if the Tunisian Muslim midfielder is fasting today, then the easier decision would be to leave him out and allow him to conserve his energy.

Despite the early kick-off, there's a really good atmosphere building around Selhurst Park where the turnstiles have been open since 10:15 GMT.

This is only the second meeting between the two London rivals in 12 years and demand for tickets high.

This is a 25,000 sell-out.
