SWPL Highlights: Hearts win Capital Cup with Hibs rout

Hearts have jumped to second in the SWPL after a convincing 4-0 victory over Hibs at Easter Road.

Eva Olid's side leapfrogged their Edinburgh rivals and Celtic with Friday night's win.

It took 20 minutes for Hearts to break the deadlock as former Aberdeen midfielder Eilidh Shore rifled the ball into the back of the net from distance.

Just seven minutes later, Georgia Timms doubled the visitors' advantage after capitalising on a defensive error to slot the ball beyond Erin Clachers in the Hibs goal.

Monica Forsyth made it three goals in 30 minutes when she fired the ball into the top corner from the edge of the box.

The best chance of the game for Hibs came from second half substitute Abbie Ferguson who tried to convert Tegan Bowie's cross but couldn't direct her effort on target.

Jackie Richards made it four for Hearts 10 minutes before full-time when she rocketed a shot into the back of the net beyond Clachers in goal.
