    FT: Leicester 1-4 Arsenal

    Arsenal

    Arsenal manager Renee Slegers:

"We said we wanted to set the tone for ourselves and I think we do that with how we start a game. We got an early goal and did a lot of really good things in the first half. We controlled things with the ball, so I'm really happy with the first half.

"Second half they made some changes to bring more physicality into the team, and the game became more start-stop with more turnovers. There were more free-kicks. It was harder for us to find a rhythm in the second half, but we ended the second half well. So overall I'm happy with the performance."

    On squad depth:

"It's very important. We need everyone ins the squad. We have to make sure that as a team and a squad we are always ready whoever it is from the start. A good example is Laia Codina - she came on against Benfica but those were her first minutes, then she played 90 today. The players have bene working incredibly hard to be ready for that moment when it comes."

On the partnership between Russo and Blackstenius:

"That was very good, both of them usually play as the nine, but they are different nines with different qualities. Today they complemented each other well and played their roles in an excellent way."

    Arsenal

Arsenal goal-scorer and player of the match Stina Blackstenius:

"Really happy with the win, it's a great result and a good team performance. A lot of fans here as well, so really happy."

Did you mean to set up Alessia Russo for the opener?

"I didn't know that [Russo was behind me] but it ended up well and it was a good finish from her.

"I like playing with Alessia, I was just happy to play today and we did a good team performance.

"Coming back from the international break we wanted to come here and put in a good team performance and chase [WSL leaders Chelsea] as good as we can."

    FT: Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur Player of the Match Olivia Holdt, speaking to Sky Sports: "Massive three points today.

"Right now I'm just enjoying playing football at Tottenham under Martin [Ho] and surrounded by these players everyday. I'm enjoying it and it makes it so much easier for me to thrive as an offensive player when I have those players around. I like the trust, it's really nice.

"I'm happy to help the team with goals and assists and hopefully, they will come more."

  5. 'We stole a point at the end'published at 14:50 GMT

    FT: Aston Villa 3-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton midfielder Clare Wheeler, speaking on BBC iPlayer about how crazy the game was: "Crazy, as you describe it, that's how it felt. It's been end-to-end. We started off really well and in key moments we switched off and they capitalised.

"Both teams wanted more out of this game and we both had to settle for a draw. Credit to them, they had their chances and they took them. I think, for us, we didn't give up until the final whistle and we were able to steal a point in the end."

It was a wacky game. At half-time and the way it finished it looked like Aston Villa were going to be strong in the second half and they did but they let Everton back into it.

It's two teams absolutely desperate for points. At one point Villa could've been sixth in the table, now they're eighth. West Ham will be happy to be moving away from that lower end but still not enough distance for comfort.

What a crazy game. There was a good performance from young Georgia Mullett who was fantastic today.

  7. 'Three points and Blundell return important today'published at 14:47 GMT

    FT: Brighton 2-3 Manchester United

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Marc Skinner, speaking to Sky Sports on conceding two today: "Typical after the international break we've got a few players that are on different wavelengths just because they've only had a day of training. I think more important it's about the win. Some great goals, Lisa's [Naalsund] finish sums it up, she's been working on that, so well done to her. More importantly three points and welcome back Hannah Blundell after pregnancy, which is a fantastic story in itself.

"I think I'll feel it on the way home, the pride for her. She's been waiting a long time, working extremely hard., Jayde's [Riviere] playing well, so it's hard for her but when she came on she showed the quality and class she already has, so I want to congratulate her on an epic fightback."

On Jess Park and Ella Toone: "When they have that relationship, I just watched from the wings and saw how close they are and they bring each other to life. They bring the team to life as well in different tight areas.

"It shows a budding relationship and what they both bring to the team."

    Manchester United

Manchester United goalscorer, speaking to Sky Sports: "She [Ella Toone] set it perfectly for me and I thought 'I'm going to hit this' and I was pleased to see it go in the back of the net. We've been working on it back in training and it's been working well, and I feel you can see it on the pitch."

  11. 'Park and Zigotti have made a massive impact'published at 14:39 GMT

    FT: Brighton 2-3 Manchester United

    Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Ella Toone, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was difficult. The first half was very transitional but after being away on international break the most important thing is getting three points. We don't like conceding goals but a win is a win and we'll take the positives."

On her partnership with Jess Park: "It's worked really well. Since Jess has come in, she has made a massive impact and we link up really well. We've been rewatching goals we scored together for Man City's development team."

On Julia Zigotti: "She's made a massive impact as well. She does a lot of the hard work the rest of us don't like doing. She's massive for us in the midfield and we know what she is capable of. Hopefully we keep building these relationships."
