It has been a professional job from Brentford.

Grimsby started well, but they couldn't capitalise in the final third. Brentford stayed clam and now they're in front. This could be a lot more.

It's League One Wycombe who are heading into the quarter-finals as things stand. Plenty of work for Fulham to do in the second half.

    Wrexham 0-1 Cardiff

After a pretty torrid start, Wrexham have finally shown signs of life in the last couple of minutes.

They stayed patient to retain possession and saw Ryan Longman drill well over from distance, but that's more encouraging for the home fans at least.

That said, they are still yet to have a shot on target. Cardiff have had four, and they've hit the crossbar.

Eight shots for Fulham so far in this match and just the one for Wycombe.

We all know what happened to that one, though.

Very simple. Grimsby look a little bit leggy. A nice finish and it is an easy finish for Reiss Nelson.

Just before this chance came up for Nelson, he got told off by the captain.

    Reiss Nelson (43 mins)

    Now it's game over.

Brentford at their clinical best as they work it well on the edge of the box before Reiss Nelson picks his spot and curls into the bottom corner.

Not good enough from Fulham and Marco Silva is having a moan on the bench.

Harrison Reed looks for the run of Adama Traore in the box but there's too much on it.

Looking at these plays, you'd think Cardiff were the Championship side, and Wrexham were the League One side! Cardiff have concentration, Wrexham are wildly off target. I reckon the Bluebirds take this one...

    Wrexham 0-1 Cardiff

A superb strike from Rubin Colwill as it looks like his free-kick is nestling into the bottom corner.

Instead it thumps against the crossbar.

Cardiff are pushing for a second goal while Wrexham look half asleep.

Based on our current form, I'm somehow not anticipating a comeback against League One opposition. Worrying times for Fulham fans.

  17. Burton to the rescuepublished at 20:23 GMT 28 October

    Wrexham 0-1 Cardiff

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at the Stok Cae Ras

If it wasn't for goalkeeper Callum Burton, Wrexham would be in all sorts of trouble here.

He's denied Omari Kellyman and Cian Ashford in quick succession.

Wrexham badly need to get a foothold in this one, and it has to be said, Cardiff are well worth their lead.

Keith Andrews wasn’t my first choice for manager this season, but my word is he doing a stellar job. The Bees are buzzing!
