Michael Cheek and Nicke Kabamba hit goals to give Bromley bragging rights in a 2-0 London derby victory over Barnet in League Two.

It took 30 minutes for the first real chance of note, Idris Kanu's curling effort tipped over the bar by Bromley goalkeeper Grant Smith.

But it was Bromley who took the lead from a familiar source. Ben Thompson's free-kick volleyed home at the first attempt by Cheek.

Cheek should have doubled the lead just after the hour mark but blazed over with only Cieran Slicker to beat. Cheek then played provider for Thompson but the midfielder dragged his shot wide of Slicker's right-hand post.

With the game taking on an end-to-end feel, Kyle Cameron cleared a Barnet chance off the line before Joe Hugill smashed a shot into the side netting.

Substitute Kabamba made the game safe in second-half stoppage time, running on to Will Hondermarck's pass and shooting past Slicken to seal the points for the home side.
