  1. 'Ingle in a position to contribute'published at 09:25 British Summer Time 19 June

Rhian Wilkinson: "We needed to make sure that Sophie Ingle was in a good place, she's still on her path to full fitness but she's in a position now where she can contribute which is important for us.

"It's a really great mix in this squad which is exciting for me."

  3. Euro 2025 groupspublished at 09:23 British Summer Time 19 June

It's worth noting that Wales will be the lowest-ranked side by Fifa competing in this summer's Euros, and Rhian Wilkinson will be fully aware how big a task her side have ahead of them.

Here are the 16 sides that will compete in the tournament:

Group A: Switzerland (hosts), Norway, Iceland, Finland

Group B: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy

Group C: Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden

Group D: France, England, Wales, Netherlands

Lily Woodham is another of the players who has won a place in Rhian Wilkinson's Euro 2025 squad.

The Wales full-back is already relishing the prospect of playing in front of a large contingent of travelling supporters in Switzerland.

"I think we've got so many fans coming and I know we've sold out for the Netherlands game," Woodham told BBC Sport.

"So to have all those people come and watch us to sing the anthem, it is going to be so loud and there'll probably be a lot of tears from the players and staff and fans as well.

"To do it out of there at such a big tournament for us is going to be incredible."

  5. Wilkinson hasn't broken sweatpublished at 09:19 British Summer Time 19 June

We’re in Hafod Eryri, the UK’s highest visitor centre at 1085 metres up.

And, for those wondering, Rhian Wilkinson has made it.

I just managed to grab a quick word with the head coach, who doesn’t look like she broke sweat on the climb.

Two players also here are goalkeeper Olivia Clark and defender Rhiannon Roberts, who has shaken off concerns over a recent groin injury to be selected.

There’s plenty of media here ready for the press conference to begin, right after Wilkinson enjoys some well-earned refreshments.

  6. 'We are there to compete'published at 09:17 British Summer Time 19 June

    Wales' Elise HughesImage source, FAW

Striker Elise Hughes is among the players heading to Switzerland this summer - and she insists Wales can compete in a demanding group which also features the Netherlands, France and England.

"We qualified just like every other team," Hughes told BBC Sport.

"Every group is tough, it's a major tournament. It's meant to be the best nations in Europe going to compete against each other.

"We're definitely there to compete and we're definitely there to win games as well.

"We're not just there to enjoy the summer, but hopefully we do enjoy this summer and we go as far as possible, just like we're expecting of ourselves."

I'm so looking forward to it - Wales in their first major tournament.

Just to add to all of the drama, they're in the same group as England.

It's going to be so fun, it's going to be absolutely mental.

Everyone will be underestimating Wales in Switzerland, they'll be thinking it's an easy game for the Netherlands, England and France, but Rhian Wilkinson will be thinking that the heavy loss to Italy will be a warning to the Welsh players.

She knows you have to be on your game for every second of every game.

Let's be honest, it would have been a shock had Sophie Ingle not been included, despite her injury issues.

But what a boost it is for Wales to have Ingle in the squad alongside other senior figures such as Jess Fishlock, Angharad James and Hayley Ladd.

Wales may never have been to a major women's tournament before, but there is plenty of international experience in this squad.

    Jess Fishlock celebratesImage source, FAW

I am really looking forward to seeing Jess Fishlock perform on the main stage. Nobody deserves to play on the main stage more than her.

She is one of the best players in the world for me.

You see so many top players who unfortunately don't get that opportunity to play in major tournaments.

She has had to work very hard to get to this point. The way she has led the team, not just with her performances but with her personality, nobody deserves it more.

If she can recreate a few of her goals, like the one we saw in the last Nations League game against Italy, then the country is going to be very happy.

I also really hope Sophie Ingle is able to contribute because she transforms this Wales team. She is so important.

They are two players who have been great servants and deserve to be showcasing their talents on the highest of stages.

BBC Sport Wales at Yr Wyddfa

Just as we reached the summit it's been confirmed that Sophie Ingle has made the squad.

That is a huge boost to the squad, not just for what she brings as a player, but also her experience behind the scenes.

  13. The key takeawayspublished at 09:02 British Summer Time 19 June

The big headline is that Sophie Ingle IS included in Rhian Wilkinson's 23-player squad.

As we have mentioned, the 33-year-old has been out of action since suffering an ACL injury with Chelsea last September.

But she will be in the travelling party to Switzerland, which will come as a huge boost to all concerned.

There is no room for youngsters such as Mared Griffiths and Tianna Teisar, though.

As expected, Megan Wynne, Mayzee Davies and Laura O’Sullivan-Jones all miss out through injury.
