Summary

  1. 'Great finish' from Jenkinspublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 1-1 Glentoran

    Tiernan Lynch
Derry City manager and former Larne boss on BBC Two NI

Glentoran were brave, they had five or six players in the box and made it difficult for Linfield. It's a great finish and Glentoran at this stage should smell blood and should go up the gears. They need to win, Linfield's season is over, they will party no matter what tonight.

  2. goal

GOAL - Linfield 1-1 Glentoranpublished at 13:22 British Summer Time 5 April

    Jordan Jenkins - 23mins

Glentoran are back on level terms and deservedly so.

David Fisher does well to scoop the ball across goal from the left, before Dylan Connolly heads back at the rear post. A Glens midfielder then mishits the ball to the left where Jenkins is given far too much time to place an effort into the bottom left-hand corner. Game on at WIndsor park.

  4. Postpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 1-0 Glentoran

Joel Cooper tries his luck from an acute angle down the left, but his shot is partially blocked and allows goalkeeper Daniel Gyollai to easily gather.

  5. Postpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 1-0 Glentoran

A short break in play as Glentoran's Daniel Amos receives treatment.

It has been the first real break in play for fans to gather their breath. It has been gung-ho stuff so far from both sides.

Thankfully, Amos is back on his feet and play continues.

  6. Postpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 1-0 Glentoran

Great chance for Glentoran to hit back. Jordan Jenkins lays the ball back to an on-rushing Charlie Lindsay just outside the area, but the midfielder scuffs his shot and it rolls wide of David Walsh's left-hand upright.

  7. 'Morrison had too much time'published at 13:11 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 1-0 Glentoran

    Tiernan Lynch
Derry City manager and former Larne boss on BBC Two

Morrison had too much time on the edge of the box to be able to change feet and too much space to be able to get a shot off. I don't think that's one Glentoran will be happy with.

  8. goal

GOAL - Linfield 1-0 Glentoranpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 5 April

    Callumn Morrison - 9mins

And just like that there is the first goal and it goes the way of the Blues.

Joel Cooper delivers from the left. Morrison looks like he has missed his opportunity by taking a second touch, but then he tucks it away into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal from 12 yards. Daniel Gyollai in goal should have done better.

  9. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 0-0 Glentoran

The answer is no, and Linfield pounce straight into attack through Matthew Fitzpatrick, but the move is broken up by the Glens' defence.

Entertaining start so far, and dare i say it, there looks like there could be goals in this one.

  10. Postpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield 0-0 Glentoran

Glentoran now with a threatening position, first with a free-kick and now with a corner. Can they make something of this?

  12. Postpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 5 April

First free-kick of the game as Frankie Hvid gives up possession and bundles into Matthew Fitzpatrick on the edge of the Glentoran area.

  14. How dominant Linfield regained the Premiership titlepublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield v Glentoran (13:00 BST)

Crowned Irish Premiership champions with six games to spare, Linfield became the first team to win the league before the end-of-season 'split'.

Glentoran's failure to beat Larne on 18 March saw David Healy's men amass an unassailable advantage and regain the Gibson Cup after Larne's back-to-back title wins of the past two years.

Despite their huge lead at the top of the table, the south Belfast side have dealt with plenty of difficulties along the way including speculation over the futures of their manager and best player, key changes in personnel through the season and a string of frustrating defeats to their biggest rivals.

BBC Sport NI looked back on how Linfield won the title with over a month remaining.

  15. Team Newspublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 5 April

    Linfield v Glentoran (13:00 BST)

The day has come for David Healy and his side to hoist the Gibson Cup as league champions for a record 57th time.

First of all, they have the small matter of playing against their arch-rivals Glentoran who will be desperate to play the villain role and become party poopers for the day.

Unsurprisingly, Healy names his strongest side, changing all 11 starting personnel from Tuesday night's win over Crusaders. So back come the likes of Chris Shields, captain Jamie Mulgrew; and playmaker Joel Cooper to ensure there are no slip ups today.

Declan Devine makes two changes from the side that saw off Coleraine 2-1 in midweek. In come Frankie Hvid and goalscorer Dylan Connolly, in an attempt to add some pace down the right-hand side.

Linfield: Walsh, East, Shields, Millar, Cooper, Hall, Mulgrew (c), McGee, Fitzpatrick, Morrison, Orr

Subs: Johns, Whiteside, McDaid, Ballantyne, McKee, Archer, Offord

Glentoran: Gyollai, Hvid, Amos, Kane (c), Lyons-Foster, Sule, Lindsay, Thomson, Jenkins, Fisher, Connolly.

Subs: Mills, McEleney, Pattisson, Wightman, Wassim, Douglas, Thorndike.

  16. Linfield's day of celebrationpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 5 April

    Six-match Premiership programme

Linfield were assured of regaining the Irish Premiership title on 18 March, before the league split, and today offers up the chance to celebrate the club's record-extending 57th Irish League success as they are presented with the trophy after today's 'Big Two' meeting with derby rivals Glentoran at Windsor Park.

It promises to be a day of deserved celebration for David Healy and his team as they parade the Gibson Cup in front of their jubilant supporters at their home stadium.

Kick-off in the game is at 13:00 BST, with live coverage available on BBC Two NI, BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website, BBC Sounds and BBC radio Ulster.

Later there are five games kicking off at 15:00 with plenty still to play for in terms of securing the second position which would guarantee European football and seventh spot to earn a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

In the top half of the table, Crusaders host Larne at Seaview, while Coleraine are at home to Dungannon Swifts.

In the bottom six, Cliftonville are at home to Ballymena United, Glenavon entertain Loughgall and Portadown travel to Carrick Rangers.
