This will be the first competitive meeting between Leyton Orient and Reading since the O’s won 2-0 in the second leg of a League Cup first round tie in September 2000 to progress 3-1 on aggregate.
This will be the first league meeting between Leyton Orient and Reading since January 1994, a 1-1 draw; the Royals are unbeaten in six such clashes (W3 D3) since a 0-4 defeat in May 1991.
Leyton Orient have won two of their last three home league games, and could win successive such matches as a League One side for the first time since March 2014 (run of three).
Reading are without a league win away from home in their last 17 games (D2 L15); they are one of only two sides in the Football League who are yet to record an away league victory in 2023 along with Rotherham (both 15 games played).
