  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Port Vale 0-0 Carlisle

Ethan Chislett takes a corner kick and the wind helps to curl it towards goal.

The weather assist only gets the ball as far as the cross bar though and Carlisle are able to scramble the ball away.

  3. 'Burton are showing their teeth'published at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Burton 1-1 Exeter

    Alan Tonge
Former Exeter midfielder on BBC Radio Devon

Burton are showing their teeth at the start of this half, attacking Exeter well.

Really poor from Exeter allowing Burton a lot of space.

  4. goal

GOAL: Wigan 2-0 Shrewsburypublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Dale Taylor (53 mins)

Jamal Blackman's intervention to keep Shrewsbury in with a sniff was only temporary.

Dale Taylor may have wrapped up the points as he finishes after fine approach play from Matty Smith.

Two in two for the on-loan Nottingham Forest forward.

  5. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Swindon 2-0 Grimsby

Swindon get themselves a penalty early into the second half after a hand ball from Jayden Luker.

Will Wright takes and misses it completely; high and wide.

    As you were.

  6. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Wigan 1-0 Shrewsbury

He only joined this morning but Jamal Blackman makes a big save to keep Shrewsbury in contention.

Blackman denies Michael Olakigbe in a one v one.

  9. Postpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Wigan 1-0 Shrewsbury

Better stuff from Shrewsbury at the start of this second half.

Jordan Shipley bends a free-kick around the Wigan well and brings a fine save out of highly-rated goalkeeper Sam Tickle.

More of the same or a half-time rocket?

Let's see which teams have the biggest uplift in these second halves.

  11. League Two half-time headlinespublished at 16:01 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    #bbcefl

    • We had three goals in four minutes at Meadow Lane as Notts County have a commanding 3-0 lead over Bradford. And here's a nice little stat for you - the four minutes between the Magpies' three goals is the shortest gap between a team scoring three times in the top four tiers this season.
    • Speaking of commanding leads, Newport have had some half putting four past MK Dons with Bryn Morris netting a first half hat-trick but MK Dons did pull a goal back just before half-time to give them a gimmer of hope.
    • AFC Wimbledon are trailing Chesterfield 1-0 while Bromley lead league strugglers Morecambe by the same score line.
    • We're yet to see goals in Accrington v Salford.
  12. League One half-time headlinespublished at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    • Charlton are three up at Northampton with Miles Leaburn adding a third to add to the two earlier goals.
    • Another London club, Leyton Orient, are winning on the road, two up at Barnsley.
    • Josh Magennis equalises in injury time for Exeter as they are drawing 1-1 at Burton.
    • Mansfield are heading for a first win since October as they lead Rotherham 1-0.
    • Bottom side Shrewsbury trail Wigan by one goal.
    • Blackpool's match with Stevenage is the only goalless game.
  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Burton 1-1 Exeter

Billy Bodin's free-kick put a smile on Gary Bowyer's face, but Josh Magennis' late header has us all-square at the interval.

This one could go either way.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Harrogate 0-1 Walsall

Things are looking worrisome for the home side, down to 10 men minutes after Walsall's Nathan Lowe dazzles with a hard strike into the net.

Prior to the goal, both teams struggled to deal with the blustery weather but not goal scorer Lowe.

Harrogate, however, have another issue to contend with after Josh March's arm into the face of Taylor Allen saw him sent him off for a second booking.

The hill looks too steep to climb for the side near the bottom - but is it?

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Wigan 1-0 Shrewsbury

Thelo Aasgaard's early goal is the difference at the Brick Stadium.

Shrewsbury and Gareth Ainsworth have it all to do to avoid another bleak Saturday.

  16. 'Great play from Exeter, they deserve it'published at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Burton 1-1 Exeter

    Alan Tonge
Former Exeter midfielder on BBC Radio Devon

Great play from Exeter, a beautiful cross into the box, right where Josh Magennis would want it.

They deserve it, no doubt about that, they have been the better side in the last half an hour.

  17. goal

GOAL: Burton 1-1 Exeterpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Josh Magennis (45+1 mins)

Exeter had been threatening to strike back but they do so right on half-time.

Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis delivers as he heads home from a few yards, but big credit to Millenic Alli for putting the cross in a great area.

    A deserved equaliser.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Port Vale 0-0 Carlisle

A relatively even affair so far between the promotion-contenders and the basement team.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Swindon 2-0 Grimsby

Ian Holloway's 1,000th game in English football is going swimmingly as they head into the tunnel with a two goal lead against his former club.

Swindon captain Ollie Clark and Kabongo Tshimanga were the ones to put their side ahead but given the bad blood between Grimsby and their former manager, can they strike back in the second half?

  20. goal

GOAL: Swindon 2-0 Grimsbypublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 21 December

    Kabongo Tshimanga (41 mins)

    Swindon double their lead!

George Cox crosses the ball into the penalty area which, after some pinging around, finds the feet of Kabongo Tshimanga.

He eases it home for just his second league goal of the season.
