Armando Broja's parents left Albania in their early 20s for England, when Broja's mum was pregnant with his older sister.
"My parents had very little and there wasn’t much opportunity in their village. They were so determined to provide a better life for their kids," Burnley forward Broja told The Players' Tribune, external in 2022.
"But it was hard for them in England, too. They didn’t have money and they didn’t speak a word of English. By the time I was born, we were all living in one room in the back of a hotel in Slough."
Broja, 24, grew up playing for Burnham Juniors and has gone on to make 81 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, Southampton, Fulham, Everton and Burnley.
