Good question, Jamie. And no, he isn't.

Manchester United say Joshua Zirkzee has remained at Carrington to recover from a "small issue", but him and Andre Onana are expected to join the rest of the squad for the tour of the United States next week.

The forward suffered a hamstring injury against Newcastle in April.

  7. Onana omitted due to hamstring injurypublished at 15:22 British Summer Time

Andre Onana is absent from the squad after suffering a hamstring injury in training.

BBC Sport's Simon Stone reported that Onana will not play on the club's pre-season tour of the United States but will still travel, with his time being spent on recovery.

It means Altay Bayindir, 27, is likely to be Ruben Amorim's first-choice goalkeeper in pre-season.

Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho.

On July 4, Manchester United made it known that these five players had asked to leave the club and would not train with the remainder of Ruben Amorim's squad.

Since their exile, the only significant development involving the quintet was news that they cannot access United's Carrington training ground - which they can enter for rehabilitation and medical purposes - until Amorim and his squad have left for the day.

The members of the so-called 'bomb squad', a reference to their being bombed out, can train together at Carrington if they wish and combine that with work away from the complex, which is the final stages of a multi-million pound upgrade. But, as far as Amorim is concerned, they are done.

As expected, the so-called “bomb squad” - players deemed surplus to requirements - have been left out of United's travelling squad. Their omissions suggest exits could be on the horizon as United reshape the squad.

There’s no official confirmation yet, but Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo appears to be closing in on a move to Man Utd - and movement could come quickly.

While he’s not in the squad for the Stockholm trip, Mbeumo could join the squad for their USA tour, which begins on Tuesday.

If it gets done in time, he could be part of the squad flying out early next week and potentially make his debut in the States.

Really good deals Mbuemo and Cunha for Utd. Maybe a tad pricey. But that is the market we are in nowadays. I expect them to be back up the top end of the table. Unfortunately.

  15. 'I would raid the unhappy bunch at Man Utd' - Brentford fan viewspublished at 14:50 British Summer Time

Brentford players with the fansImage source, Getty Images

Over on our Brentford page, Bees fans have been giving us their thoughts on the upheaval at the club this summer:

Charlie: Losing Thomas Frank will be the biggest problem. We've sold a lot of top strikers before (Neal Maupay, Said Benrahma, Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney) and survived, but there are a lot of core players now going. Jordan Henderson could be a good leader and Igor Thiago will hopefully play and be good. With all the money coming in, I can't understand why we're not going for Liverpool's Harvey Elliott - surely a good fit?

Carl: It is a massive summer for the club. We will need to recruit across the pitch to keep up recent levels. I would raid the unhappy bunch at Manchester United and give people like Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho their mojo back - in exchange for a fulfilling life with less money!

Darrell: Brentford fans expect nothing. Look at where we came from? The past 13 years have been one hell of a journey, but there is no doubt that the summer of 2025 is going to test the club's approach. Bring it on!

Manchester United may have had two decent signings going forward but the goalkeeper, centre backs and midfield is where they will come unstuck. No use have two goal scorers if the rest of the team is not of Premier League standard.

  18. 'Mbeumo will fit exactly what Ruben wants as a player'published at 14:39 British Summer Time

    Bryan MbeumoImage source, Getty Images

Bryan Mbeumo's former coach at Troyes, Rui Almeida, believes Mbeumo will be able to handle the pressure at Old Trafford.

He told BBC Radio Manchester: "I think so. I saw him jump from us at Troyes to Brentford in the Championship and then to the Premier League. He handled it really well.

"I know he is a little shy but, at the same time, he trusts himself. So he knows how strong is he, what capabilities he has, how strong he is as a player. Of course, Manchester United is a different level club, but I am trustful he will do it well.

"He will fit exactly what Ruben wants as a player. Not only in offensive way but also in defensive way because Ruben demands that from the players - always."

  20. How important are player sales?published at 14:33 British Summer Time

    £65m [Bryan Mbeumo] + £62.5m [Matheus Cunha] = £127.5m.

That must be a significant chunk of Manchester United’s summer budget. Given this, how important are player sales for United this summer?

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire said: "When you bring in a new player you would normally put them on a four or five-year contract. The way the accounting works - you take the cost of the player and divide it by the length of the contract.

"If you sign someone for £150m it would cost them £30m next year plus the wages.

"But you only have to go and sell a couple of players of the calibre of [Alejandro] Garnacho, [Marcus] Rashford and co to get more than £60m of profit coming in, so it effectively pays for itself.

"So you can pay out a far bigger multiple than the sales proceeds of those that might be departing."
