There are some ooo's from the crowd when Kwame Poku cuts inside the Birmingham defence to set up a potential goal threat.

He slices the ball into the box but as brilliant as his play was to get into position, he can only pot his shot into the arms of Blues keeper Ryan Allsop.

Talk about commentator's curse again.... sorry Reading fans.

GOAL - Shrewsbury 1-1 Readingpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 8 April

    Taylor Perry (48 mins)

    That was quick!

The ball fell kindly to Taylor Perry, who closed in on goal, rounded Joel Pereira and finished well.

He then tries to rally the home crowd. Game on!

  4. As it standspublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 8 April

Table looking good for Birmingham fans - as it stands, you're up...

Reading followers will be happy too - they're leapfrogging Bolton into the play-off places if things stay as they are.

Quite an achievement for a club with the threat of suspension hanging over them due to off-field issues.

Not so good for Shrewsbury who will be all but mathematically down if they lose this evening.

Here are the other scores at the break - not a good half for Bolton's play-off hopes as Sam Nombe has Rotherham ahead...

    League One:

    Mansfield 1-1 Leyton Orient

    Bolton 0-1 Rotherham

    Exeter 0-0 Wigan

    League Two:

    Chesterfield 0-1 Gillingham

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 8 April

    Shrewsbury 0-1 Reading

Lewis Wing's goal is the difference at the break in a key game for Reading.

But this game has lacked quality.

  9. 'Blues look really dangerous when coming forward'published at 20:35 British Summer Time 8 April

    HT: Peterborough 1-2 Birmingham

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

You do feel they need more than a one-goal cushion.

Blues look really dangerous when coming forward, and Posh even when they are playing out, they look to be taking risks, Blues can catch them out.

There have been a couple times when Posh have caused Blues some problems, plenty for Chris Davies to ponder at half-time, but you can see the identity of his team here.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 8 April

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wycombe

Nothing to split the promotion hunters as they head to the tunnel.

Birmingham are on track to secure promotion as they go into the break ahead.

The celebrations from Alfie May's dynamic opening header were short lived when Posh's Kwame Poku was left alone to thunder in an equaliser just three minutes later.

Though parity was not to remain after Taylor Gardner-Hickman powered a shot past Peterborough keeper Nicholas Bilokapic to take back the lead.

Though the hosts have had their fair amount of chances, looking like they have no interest in allowing the league leaders to steamroll past them.

Still so much drama left in this one.

Two more minutes added onto the end of this one.

It's been a good contest so far. Can the Posh spice it up before the break with another leveller?

    Peterborough 1-2 Birmingham

Malik Mothersille gets the opportunity to get another quick equaliser for the hosts after a quick forward pass from Harley Mills.

But the forward drives himself into a tight angle with Blues keeper Ryan Allsop in his way and he can't quite get his shot on target.

    Mansfield 1-1 Leyton Orient

Dilan Markanday has scored a leveller for Leyton Orient at Mansfield.

He jinks his way past a couple of defenders before firing across goal!

Superb finish and one that revives the O's slim play-off hopes.

Birmingham's party, celebratory atmosphere is back up and running at London Road.

They are just so relentless, very fluid in attack after attack.

    And ahead they go again!

Taylor Gardner-Hickman finds himself in space in the box to fire home a sizzling shot that speeds past the Posh keeper.

That's a goal and an assist now for the Englishman. Not many better times to get them either.

GOAL - Shrewsbury 0-1 Readingpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 8 April

    Lewis Wing (34 mins)

    Curse of the commentator!

Lewis Wing opens the scoring with a shot from distance. Jamal Blackman misreads it and it deflects into the roof of the net.

Very poor goalkeeping but a big goal for Reading.

    Shrewsbury 0-0 Reading

No chances to report on from this one but Shrewsbury are dominating possession and looking the more likely so far.

But they're yet to hit the target.

    Peterborough 1-1 Birmingham

A messy pass in Blues' final third is offered up on a plate for Ricky-Jade Jones to sink his spikes into.

He bursts into the box but he's closed down by the Blues defender before he can punish the mistake.
