Stuttgart crush Young Boys to boost Champions League knockout hopes
Stuttgart boosted their Champions League knockout hopes with a crushing win over Swiss side Young Boys.
Lukasz Lakomy had given the visitors an unlikely lead with a fine strike in the sixth minute.
But that sparked a stunning comeback from the German side as Angelo Stiller levelled with a smart finish inside the box.
Stuttgart dominated after the restart as Enzo Millot completed the turnaround in the 53rd minute and Chris Fuhrich added a third eight minutes later.
Josha Vagnoman added another in the 66th minute, before Yannik Keitel made it five nine minutes later.
Stuttgart moved up to 26th in the standings, one point off 24th and the final knockout play-off spot.
Young Boys are bottom with zero points and a worse goal difference than Slovan Bratislava and RB Leipzig, who have also yet to get off the mark.
