Champions League highlights: Sturm Graz 1-0 RB Leipzig
Sturm Graz signed off from a disappointing Champions League group phase on a positive note with victory against RB Leipzig.
Arjan Malic turned in the rebound from his own effort after finding space at the back post when RB Leipzig failed to clear a corner.
The Austrian side thought they had doubled their lead when William Boving pounced to turn in a loose ball, but it was ruled out by the video assistant referee (VAR) for a foul in the build-up.
Both clubs knew their campaign in the Champions League would go no further than the group phase prior to the start of play.

Sturm Graz and RB Leipzig will meet for the first time in a competitive fixture; the Austrian side have lost seven of their previous nine games in European competition against German opposition (W1 D1), including 1-0 away to Borussia Dortmund on MD4 of this season’s UEFA Champions League.
RB Leipzig’s only previous meetings with Austrian opposition came against FC Red Bull Salzburg in the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League group stage, losing 3-2 at home and 1-0 away.

Sturm Graz have had fewer different goalscorers (excluding own goals) than any other side in the UEFA Champions League this season (2). The only player to score more than once for them this term (Mika Biereth) has now left the club.
Benjamin Sesko has four UEFA Champions League goals this season, with only Christopher Nkunku netting more in a single campaign for RB Leipzig (7 in 2021-22). Overall, Sesko has six goals in the Champions League, with Zlatko Zahovic (11) and Josip Ilicic (7) the only Slovenian players to net more.
