Are England going to win Euro 2025? Surely they have to. We can't have gone through all this suffering for them to not win.

With a mixed bag of results coming into the competition, there was concern that the Lionesses wouldn't even progress from their group - which included high-ranking France and the Netherlands.

Every round it has felt like they were almost going out. But the Lionesses keep sending themselves - and us - to the brink and then finding a way to thrive.

Weirdly, reaching the final against Spain feels like a bonus with all the trials and tribulations and the emotional rollercoaster we have all been on with this team.

But England know they have not performed to the levels we all know they are capable of and world champions Spain present another huge test.

Read more here about the key areas that could prove crucial in Sunday's final.

Alessia Russo discusses how England have "found a way to win" at Euro 2025.

They've had us on the edge of our seats (or more likely hiding behind sofas) at this tournament but they've made it to the final.

  4. Wiegman 'not for sale at any price'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 25 July

England v Spain (Sun, 17:00 BST)

Good news England fans! It looks like Sarina Wiegman isn't going anywhere.

Football Association chief executive Mark Bullingham said the England boss is "not for sale at any price" as she prepares the Lionesses for a third consecutive major tournament final.

Wiegman is the only manager in the men's or women's game to have reached the final at all five major tournaments she has coached in.

She led the Netherlands to the Euro 2017 title and the World Cup final in 2019, before doing the same with England at Euro 2022, and the 2023 World Cup.

"I want to pay tribute to Sarina. I think her record individually is phenomenal," said Bullingham.

"Her record of managing in five tournaments and reaching five finals is phenomenal. I don't believe anyone has been anywhere near that in the past and it will be really hard to do that in the future.

"She's a really special coach and we're delighted to have her with us."

  6. We meet again...published at 14:48 British Summer Time 25 July

England v Spain (Sun, 17:00 BST)

For the second consecutive major tournament final England will meet Spain for a shot at the crown.

Sunday's Euro 2025 final is a repeat of the 2023 World Cup final - which Spain won.

They were the two best sides in the world 24 months ago and they remain the best two sides in Europe now.

One goal from Olga Carmona was enough to seal victory on that occasion.

    England are looking for revenge.
