A pulsating Monday afternoon of EFL madness is at a close, for us at least, you can follow our live text coverage of Burnley v Sheffield United in the Championship, here. They have just kicked-off at Turf Moor.

Nothing was settled in League One this afternoon, though Cambridge edged closer to the relegation trapdoor while Stockport will be assured of at least two more games in May after sealing a top-six finish.

In League Two, bid farewell to Morecambe, who were relegated back to the National League 18 years after they earned their first-ever promotion to the the EFL.

Doncaster look well placed for automatic promotion at the other end, after going four-points clear at the top with two games to come.

Beats your normal day at work, right?

We'll be back on Thursday night as Birmingham will seek to pass the 100-point barrier as they head to Stevenage.

Thanks for your company, enjoy what's left of your Bank Holiday, and we'll see you back here soon.

While Champions Birmingham are chasing the magic 107-point mark for the EFL points record, Charlton are muscling into the automatic promotion race as the finishing line comes into view.

Their 15th win in 20 games, a thumping 4-0, statement win at Wycombe, took them within two points of the Chairboys, who slip to third behind Wrexham, who won 2-1 at Blackpool.

Clear your diaries for next Saturday evening when Wrexham are at home to Charlton, who could go within a point of them with a win at the Racecourse.

Stockport have secured a play-off place as they ended Huddersfield's play-off hopes with a 2-1 win at Edgeley Park, while Leyton Orient look set for a shootout with Reading for the final spot after the O's came from behind to win against Cambridge, while the Royals walloped Mansfield 5-1.

In theory, Bolton and Blackpool could mathematically still make it, but would need snookers, to say the least, given their points and goal difference situations.

Crawley and Cambridge had to win today, and only the former did. The Red Devils leapfrog the U's and now sit just one win behind Burton, who have a game in hand.

Cambridge and Burton meet next Saturday in what is now a huge game for both clubs.

Bristol Rovers' defeat was good news for Mansfield, who drop a place after being thrashed by Reading.

Shrewsbury's faint hopes of not finishing bottom were very much extinguished after their thrashing at Northampton.

The Cobblers are one of a few teams who can sleep easier tonight after this afternoon's results.

Town, Wigan, and Peterborough all guaranteed themselves a spot in the third tier next season, and now can't be caught by Bristol Rovers in 21st with two games to play.

Carlisle United's late equaliser at Accrington gave them hope of remaining in League Two beyond this season. They travel to Cheltenham at the weekend in search of another crucial win.

MK Dons and Harrogate Town are both safe after wins against Crewe Alexandra and Fleetwood Town respectively.

    FT: Wycombe 0-4 Charlton

    Sam Avery
BBC Three Counties Radio's Wycombe commentator

It's not very often that Mike Dodds has had to apologise for the performance, but he does just that to the Wycombe fans.

They've been battered today by Charlton, they now have to beat Leyton Orient.

    Burton 1-2 Birmingham

    They couldn't...

Blues pick up their 30th win of the season and reach 99 points. Eight more needed for the EFL record with four games to get them.

Alfons Sampsted and Jay Stansfield struck twice in three minutes late in the first half to seal the points, though Fabio Tavares picked up a last-gasp consolation.

Results elsewhere mean Burton remain outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone, but things have become tighter.

    Cambridge 1-2 Leyton Orient

Not quite the end of the line, but perhaps the last stop but one for the Cambridge train.

Neil Harris' side led at the break against play-off chasing Orient, but the visitors turned things around in the second half thanks to goals from top scorer Charlie Kelman and Jamie Donley.

Cambridge slip to second bottom, and will be relegated if they don't beat Burton next Saturday. Orient stay sixth, in pole position to claim the final available League One play-off spot.

Chuks Aneke won't be playing after his senseless red card in the final few minutes.

    Wycombe 0-4 Charlton

    Sam Avery

It's a red card for Chuks Aneke.

A small blemish on a really good performance for Charlton, sent off for an off the ball collision with Leahy.

Absolutely bizarre, why's he doing that at four-nil up?
