Man City 0-1 Club Brugge
There's the half-time whistle.
Manchester City with it all to do. Pep Guardiola's side need two goals or they are out of the Champions League.
Dembele hat-trick sends PSG into play-offs
Ousmane Dembele's hat-trick helped Paris St-Germain into the Champions League play-offs as they defeated Stuttgart, a result that eliminated the Germans.
PSG, runners-up in 2020 and semi-finalists last season, would have been in danger of being knocked out themselves if they had lost this match.
But Luis Enrique's side only needed six minutes before they took control.
Stuttgart captain Atakan Karazor needlessly conceded a corner and it was flicked on by Desire Doue with Bradley Barcola bravely heading into the net.
Chris Fuhrich had an effort superbly saved by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the French side immediately counter-attacking before Barcola's cross was finished by Dembele.
It was originally ruled out for offside, but, following a check from the video assistant referee, the goal was given for PSG to move 2-0 ahead.
It became three after 35 minutes when Dembele grabbed his second goal of the night, blasting into the top corner from the right side of the penalty area.
Dembele completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute with another fine finish after being set up by Achraf Hakimi.
The hosts got one back through Willian Pacho's own goal, steering Maximilian Mittelstadt's cross past Donnarumma, but it was not enough for Stuttgart.
They began the day 24th in the table, but this result saw them finish 26th, one point adrift of the top 24, to end their European involvement for this season.
PSG will play a fellow Ligue 1 side, either Monaco or Brest, in February's two-legged play-offs and will find out their opponents when the draw is made in Nyon, Switzerland at 11:00 GMT on Friday.

All competitions
Stuttgart have lost only one of their four previous meetings at home with a French opponent in European competition (W2 D1), though that did come in their most recent such match, losing 2-0 to Lyon in the 2007-08 UEFA Champions League group stage.
Paris SG have lost eight of their 13 away games in the UEFA Champions League against German opposition (W3 D2), holding their joint-worst win rate on the road in the competition against German teams (23% - level with English opposition – minimum 6 trips).
Following back-to-back victories over RB Salzburg and Manchester City, Paris SG will be looking to win three consecutive UEFA Champions League games for the first time under Luis Enrique. Indeed, the last Paris SG boss to win three in a row in the competition was Thomas Tuchel in his final three games in charge of them in the competition (November-December 2020).
Paris SG have only won one of their last six away games in the group/league phase of the UEFA Champions League, while suffering four defeats in this run (D1) – as many as in their previous 22 such matches combined (W12 D6). That one victory did come in the most recent, however, winning 3-0 at RB Salzburg.
After beating Young Boys in their last home outing in the UEFA Champions League (5-1 on MD6), Stuttgart will be looking to win back-to-back home matches in the competition for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign (a run of three versus Manchester United, Panathinaikos and Rangers).
Paris SG haven’t lost their final group/league phase game in a UEFA Champions League campaign since 2017-18 (1-3 v Bayern Munich), winning five of their last six such matches in the competition (D1). They’ve scored 21 goals across those six games, while only conceding five in return.
No team has had more different players score for them in the UEFA Champions League this season than Stuttgart (10 – excluding own goals). Indeed, with his brace against Slovan Bratislava last time out, Jamie Leweling now is their joint-top scorer (2) in the competition this term (Leweling and Millot the only players to score more than once).
Along with scoring the goal to make it 3-2 against Manchester City last time out, 20-year-old midfielder João Neves won more duels (11), made more tackles (7), and recovered possession more times (6) than any other Paris SG player in the match.
Enzo Millot has been directly involved in five goals for Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League this season (two goals, three assists); the most by any player for the club in a single campaign. Millot also leads all Stuttgart players for both chances created (17) and dribbles completed (11) in the competition this term.
Paris SG’s Nuno Mendes has made 38 line-breaking passes to Bradley Barcola in the UEFA Champions League this season, the most from one player to a teammate. 25 of those have been in the final third, which is also the most from one player to another this term.
