Tyler Magloire’s stoppage-time header secured a 1-1 draw for Northampton against League One promotion hopefuls Stockport at Edgeley Park.

The hosts had looked to have claimed an 87th-minute winner when Louie Barry converted from the penalty spot, but Magloire nodded home from a free-kick at the death.

County almost took the lead in the 20th minute when Jayden Fevrier unleashed a shot from the edge of the area which clipped the top of the crossbar.

A flurry of chances early in the second half for Stockport saw Barry, Fevrier and Odin Bailey all come close to netting the opener.

But the Cobblers nearly scored against the run of play when substitute Tyler Roberts hit the post on the hour mark.

When Cameron McGeehan hauled down Kyle Wootton in the box, Stockport were awarded a penalty which was duly dispatched by Barry, who netted his seventh goal of the season.

However, Magloire was Northampton’s saviour as he headed home from Tariqe Fosu's cross to secure a point.
