The strong response we expected from Chelsea after two draws which is crazy to think is a crisis but it's a great crisis to have.

Manchester United move forwards quickly and Fridolina Rolfo dinks a cross towards the six-yard box, but it falls a little too close to Elisabeth Terland and she heads over the bar.

Nathalie Bjorn gets a head to the in-swinging corner but she glances it across goal and it trickles out for a Tottenham goalkick.

A positive start from the visitors in this one. Lisa Naalsund had a good chance after Melvine Malard broke into the box and pulled the ball back towards her, but Naalsund fired over the bar.

For me it's a big ask. When you look at Tottenham's start, credit to them, but they've come up against City and it was a 5-1 defeat, this is where we'll see if the gap in the WSL is as big as we think it is.

Tottenham have been flying high under new boss Martin Ho this season.

They're third in the table with four wins from their first five games.

A statement win against Chelsea wouldn't only end the Blues 30-match winning streak, but it would see Spurs leapfrog Sonia Bompastor's side to the top of the WSL table.

It's been a tough start to the season for Leicester, who sit 10th in the table with four points after five games.

The Foxes have trailed for 59.6% of their total minutes in the WSL this season, the highest share of any side in a losing position.

Luckily for them, Liverpool and West Ham's winless starts to the season mean they are four points above the relegation play-off place.

Rachel Daly is certainly someone the Leicester defence need to keep an eye on.

The Aston Villa captain has scored five goals in six matches against Leicester in the Women’s Super League, only managing more strikes against Reading (6) in the competition.

Daly has scored four of the Villans’ last six WSL goals against the Foxes.

London City Lionesses

It could take £1m London City Lionesses signing Grace Geyoro until December before she is up to speed in the Women's Super League, says manager Jocelyn Precheur.

She starts today for London City.

France midfielder Geyoro joined the newly promoted side on transfer deadline day on 4 September.

Geyoro has yet to register a goal or assist in four games for London City, who have six points from five league matches.

"We knew it would need two or three months for her to be totally ready in a new league," Precheur told BBC Sport.

"She had a long break from the end of Euro 2025 to joining us. We knew when she arrived she needed to start conditioning from scratch.

"She wants to adapt as soon as possible to bring to the team everything she can."

Geyoro, 28, had spent her career at Paris St-Germain before joining the Lionesses, winning the league title and twice reaching the Champions League final.

West Ham are on a dismal run of form.

Rehanne Skinner's side have lost all of their opening five league matches and sit bottom of the WSL. They're on a run of seven league defeats, failing to pick up a point since beating Crystal Palace 7-1 in April.

They've only scored twice this season and have conceded 16, letting in at least four on three occasions. Unsurprisingly, they're yet to keep a clean sheet.

On the plus side, they've won each of their last three games against newly promoted opposition.

The bad news is London City Lionesses have made a positive start to WSL life, beating Liverpool and Everton and taking the lead against Arsenal.

West Ham United

West Ham thrashed London City 4-1 when they faced each other in the League Cup last season - but manager Rehanne Skinner expects a different game against a "new opponent" today.

"The more a new team plays together, the more gelled they’ll be," she said in her pre-match news conference. "We’re on our journey to being the team we know we’re capable of being, and we’ll take that into the game regardless of who we’re playing.

"We played them last season, but they’re not the same team. It’s a new opponent for us, which is always a different challenge and it’s one the players are looking forward to."

Despite being pointless after five games, Skinner says her side have "grown tremendously" and were much improved in their 2-0 defeat by Aston Villa in their previous league match.

"We’ve grown tremendously. We weren’t defensively solid at the start of the season. We made some errors in judgment in key games which cost us goals.

"We did a much better defensive job against Aston Villa. They broke us down with a couple of set-pieces, but not from open play, and then we made life difficult for Brighton. We absorbed a lot of pressure but stayed calm, concentrated and diligent. That’s the difference and that’s the step forward."
