The deal all Arsenal fans are waiting for, though, is a new striker.
Could this be the summer that wait comes to an end?
It can't help that Chelsea seem to keep announcing the arrival of new forwards.
Joao Pedro from Brighton is the latest to agree a switch to Stamford Bridge, with a fee worth £60m now on the table.
That followed Saturday's agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign English winger Jamie Gittens for £55m.
To be clear, agreements on the fees are in place, but both signings are still to be completed.
More to follow.

For the avoidance of doubt, the three players we believe Benn is talking about there are midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, from Real Sociedad and Brentford, respectively, and Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
BBC Sport understands those deals are agreed but have not yet been confirmed.
Arsenal have also tied down defenders Gabriel and Myles Lewis-Skelly on extended contracts.

Guy from Nottingham (08:54 BST), stop being a typical Arsenal fan. Arsenal have signed 3 players so far and tied down 2 crucial first-teamers to long-term deals.
Benn, non-typical Gooner from North London

That's a pretty clear come and get me plea from Viktor Gyokeres, but to which club?
Are Manchester United top of Viktor's wish list - to hook up with Ruben Amorim, his former boss at Sporting - or could the Sweden striker be open to other offers?
This is not a piece of Arsenal gossip per se, but Gunners fans may still be interested:
Sporting's 27-year-old Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres has told the club he will not return and wants a move this summer. (Record - in Portuguese, subscription required), external

What is Tony the Palace fan thinking? Maybe a straight swap but Harvey and £50m? That would equate to £100m.
Anon
Crystal Palace fan Tony has ruffled a few feathers this morning by suggesting the Eagles should push to get £50m plus Harvey Elliott from Liverpool in return for their centre-back Marc Guehi.
Well, today's Sun, external suggests that Liverpool are willing to offer 19-year-old Scotland winger Ben Doak as part of a deal for Palace's 24-year-old England defender.
Back to the gossip.
Manchester's City's 22-year-old England Under-21s midfielder James McAtee looks to be a highly sought-after commodity this transfer window...in Germany.
Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart are all interested in signing him, according to the Times (subscription required), external.
Check out this list of done deals in the Premier League so far.
It tallies with Guy's assertion that Arsenal are yet to make a signing, but there is still time, right?
Are they just biding their time, or struggling to complete the right deals?
Gunners fans, do you trust your club to get their transfer strategy right this summer?
Thumbs up for yes, down for no...

Oh look at that, Chelsea making their 5th signing, Liverpool have made 4, Man City have made 4. Good job Arsenal have made…checks notes…still no one. Arsenal also had the second smallest squad last season and have let 4 players go on a free. Looking like a pretty terrible window so far.

We will have more on Marc Guehi in a moment, including his potential valuation and the issues that must be worked through for any move to Liverpool to come off.
But first, let's fly through some of today's hot transfer gossip.
There is a 'Y' in the day, so let's start with Arsenal and a striker link...

Tony, £50m plus Harvey Elliott is way too much for Guehi. Yes he's a quality CB but is in the last year of his deal, so you'll be lucky to get the £50m, let alone a player worth at least £40m as well. Elliot showed again at the U21 Euros how good he is. Five goals from the left in a 4-4-1-1 system is really good. He would be a great replacement for Eze, who I hope joins Arsenal, but I'd love us to go for Elliott as well. Guehi is worth the money you're talking about IF he wasn't in his last year of the contract and at an age where staying a year and going for free won't hurt him.

Jay: Re 08:13 photo of Chelsea payers - what are we looking at here? The queue for the toilets at Chelsea’s training ground? Or the players playing musical statues for a chance to make the starting XI?

I think £50m plus Harvey Elliott for Marc Guehi is fair for both clubs.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin confirmed his "incredibly difficult decision" to leave Everton, becoming a free agent, in a post on Instagram.
"After nine remarkable years I've made the incredibly difficult decision - together with my family - to begin a new chapter in my career," wrote the 28-year-old striker, who scored just three goals last season.
"This isn't something I chose lightly. Everton has been my home since I was 19 years old. It's the place that saw potential in me, challenged me to grow and shaped me both as a footballer and as a man."
And Calvert-Lewin added: "The choice to move on was not simply about me, it was a decision with my family and we spent a long time considering together.
"We believe it's the right moment to seek a new challenge and continue growing, but that doesn't lessen the bond I'll always have with Everton."
It leaves Everton looking for a striker before their first season at their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, although they have been linked with Villarreal's 22-year-old French forward Thierno Barry.
