  2. 'There are no blizzards rolling into Bodo'published at 15:00 British Summer Time

Bodo Glimt v Tottenham (20:00 BST)

    Nick Mashiter
BBC Sport football news reporter in Bodo

Is the weather in Bodo that much different to what Tottenham would have experienced during a stereotypical wet winter night at Stoke?

Not really. Sorry to disappoint but there are no blizzards rolling into Bodo, which is 75 miles inside the Arctic Circle.

There's snow on the mountains in the distance and the temperature has dropped a little from Tuesday but a jumper and a light coat keeps any chills away. Right now it's around eight degrees, only dropping to seven tonight.

Rain is forecast for this evening and that could change the dynamic further as Bodo/Glimt's artificial pitch should become faster. It will be something the hosts are used to and will be another factor for Tottenham to overcome.

    Seems like a natural fit.

They are according to Opta's supercomputer, anyway.

Ruben Amorim's side have the edge over fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur going into this evening's second leg ties.

With the two holding significant advantages over their semi-final opponents, both are expected to progress to the final but it's Amorim's men currently expected to go all the way.

The likelihood of each team winning the Europa League:

    • Man Utd - 52.4%
    • Tottenham - 43.2%
    • Bodo/Glimt - 3.2%
    • Athletic Club - 1.3%

  8. 'Spurs does crazy things to people'published at 14:48 British Summer Time

    Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham (20:00 BST)

Tottenham manager Ange PostecoglouImage source, Getty Images

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou responded to Arsene Wenger's comments in his pre-match news conference:

"It's a debate that's been raging for years, at least the last eight days…I've never heard it before. Spurs does crazy things to people.

"You put that club into any sentence or any issue and invariably they all come out and try to diminish it as much as they can.

"It's Spurs mate, they love it.

"It's competition rules. Why wasn't it an issue before and is it an issue now? What's the difference? Last year fifth [in the Premier League] didn't get you into the Champions League, this year it does. What does that mean?"

  9. What has Wenger said about automatic Champions League qualification?published at 14:45 British Summer Time

Former Arsenal manager Arsene WengerImage source, Getty Images

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says it is "not right" that the Europa League winners qualify for the Champions League.

Both teams are guaranteed to finish outside of the European qualification places in the Premier League with United currently in 15th and Spurs in 16th.

Asked if it was "right" for the winners to qualify for the Champions League, Wenger told BeIN Sports: "No - they should qualify automatically for the Europa League again but not necessarily for the Champions League.

"Especially when you're in the Premier League where already five teams qualify.

"I think it's something (for Uefa) to think about and to review.

"On the other hand people will tell you that to keep the Europa League focused, interesting and motivated you need to give them that prize (of qualifying for the Champions League)."

But congrats on your Fjord swimming, Anon. I panic when the hot water goes in my shower so you're doing much better than me.

As for questions, how about this?

In honour of Bodo/Glimt being two games away from history, without searching the internet, who was the last team not from Europe's top five leagues to win the Europa League?

  13. Man Utd aiming for sixth European crownpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time

Man Utd v Athletic Bilbao (20:00 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter

The front cover of Manchester United's match programme tonight makes it clear.

United are targeting their sixth European title (excluding Super Cups).

That would take them level with Juventus, Ajax, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

United head coach Ruben Amorim has called on the club's supporters to fully get behind his team and they look to ensure they do not surrender their three-goal first leg advantage.

"We cannot take anything for granted until the task is complete," he says in his programme notes.

"Let's all pull together for one last push to secure our place back in Bilbao."

I’m off to the Chelsea game tonight and though the result is a forgone conclusion (touch wood) and energetic performance from all the fringe players is so so needed. Can’t risk any negativity at this crucial point in the season

Arsenal probably just don't have the best players. Their overreliance on set pieces in the early part of the season is testament to their inability to create, never mind take, clear cut chances.

I do believe there is a mentality issue with Arsenal in that we can’t quite get over the line. But regarding the CL, I do believe we are progressing and going in the right direction. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit that PSG are a better team than us and were better over the two legs. Hopefully it’s an experience this team will take on the chin and grow from. However, Arsenal HAVE to get a striker, maybe even two, to fully compete for everything next season. I’m not saying Arsenal should be winning everything, I’m saying they should be competing for everything.
