After a dramatic day of action in League Two, Gillingham end the day on top after a victory away at Newport County.

Swindon Town - who started the day on top - fought back after going two down to level their game with Salford City at 2-2.

But the Ammies managed to find a stoppage-time winner that takes them up to second and moves Swindon back down to fourth.

Shrewsbury and Cheltenham lost again and remain in the league's bottom two. They both have just one win this season.

    FT: Cardiff 1-3 Bradford

    Andy Kiwomya
Ex-Bradford forward and head of performance on BBC Radio Leeds

That is a statement three points, that tells you what can happen when you galvanise a club and they believe in what they are doing.

This was a performance to be proud of from every Bradford City player, the management and staff.

Everyone was talking about Cardiff City as the team to beat, the team that is going to get promotion, but it is Bradford City that have come away with a statement win.

  5. Are City promotion material?published at 17:12 BST 20 September

    FT: Cardiff 1-3 Bradford

    Jamie Raynor
BBC Radio Leeds' Bradford City commentator

Nine games in, top of the League One table. I wonder what the odds were of that on August 2nd?

'We're Bradford City, we're top of the league' bellows from the away end.

Yet another remarkable performance. At what point do we seriously consider City as promotion material?

A very busy second half has given us plenty of storylines in the third tier.

Jordan Roberts' header has given Stevenage a 2-1 home win against Exeter, while a brilliant second-half comeback from AFC Wimbledon helped them take all three points at Doncaster.

Two more 2-1 scorelines this afternoon at Reading, who hold off Leyton Orient for a much-needed home win, and Port Vale, who scored in stoppage-time to defeat 10-men Mansfield Town.

Kyle Wootton's fourth goal of the season was the difference for Dave Challinor's Stockport at Rotherham, and it finished goalless between Huddersfield and Burton Albion.
