Lazio have won just one of their five European meetings with Feyenoord (D1 L3), though it was in their last such home game against them, 4-2 in last season’s UEFA Europa League.
Since winning 2-1 at Lazio in February 2000, and 1-0 at Inter in April 2002, Feyenoord are winless in their last five away games against Italian sides in all competitions (D1 L4). Indeed, they lost two visits to Rome in the UEFA Europa League last season (2-4 v Lazio, 1-4 v Roma).
Lazio haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 22 UEFA Champions League games, the longest open run by a side playing in the 2023-24 tournament.
Feyenoord have lost each of their last six away games in the UEFA Champions League by an aggregate score of 14-4. Overall, they’ve only won three of their 19 away games in the competition (D5 L11), with their last such win coming against Newcastle back in September 2002.
Lazio are winless in their last three UEFA Champions League home games (D2 L1), although they did come from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Atlético Madrid in the most recent one (equaliser scored by goalkeeper Ivan Provedel). Indeed, both teams have scored in each of Lazio’s last nine home games in the competition (16 for, 15 against).
Feyenoord have won three of their last four UEFA Champions League games (L1), more than they had in their previous 20 (W2 D6 L12). They’re looking to win three games within the same group stage in a campaign in the competition for the first time since 1997-98.
Feyenoord’s start distance (average metres from their own goal their open play sequences start) in the UEFA Champions League is 46.8, the highest in the competition so far this season.
Only Man City pair Rodri (67) and Rúben Dias (60) have made more progressive carries in the UEFA Champions League this season than Feyenoord defender Dávid Hancko (48).
Lazio’s Pedro has scored in his last two UEFA Champions League appearances, having scored in just two of his previous 35. He could become the second player aged 36+ to score in three consecutive games in the competition, after Cristiano Ronaldo (5 in 2021).
Feyenoord’s Calvin Stengs has created more chances in general (14) and from open play (11) than any other player in the UEFA Champions League this season. Seven of his 14 chances created overall came in the 3-1 win against Lazio last time out.
