Rangers narrowed Celtic's lead at the top of the SWPL to goal difference as they eased past Hearts at Broadwood ahead of Monday's Old Firm derby.
With Celtic drawing 2-2 with Glasgow City earlier, Jo Potter's side knew before kick-off they could close the gap at the summit.
Chelsea Cornet lashed in a deflected first-half volley to get Rangers on their way.
Lizzie Arnot settled any nerves with an angled strike into the bottom corner, before Libby Bance added a third in the final minute.
Jo Potter's side rarely looked in trouble against the side they will meet in the Scottish Cup final later this month as they chase a domestic treble.
The visitors, though, were hampered early on with captain Georgia Hunter now a doubt for that Hampden final after hobbling off after just five minutes.
Rangers initially struggled to add to Cornet's early goal despite dominating possession.
Charlotte Parker-Smith tipped over Arnot's fierce strike in the first half, before the Rangers striker just failed to add the finish to Rio Hardy's cut-back after the hour mark.
However, Arnot and Bance's late goals set up a titanic battle with Celtic next week.
What they said
Rangers manager Jo Potter: "It's a big win. We knew we had to produce three points, especially after our last result against them.
"But we knew we were coming off a very good result where we could take confidence from the semi-final at the weekend. Yes, I'm extremely pleased with three goals and a clean sheet.
"[The Celtic score] wasn't something that we were keeping an eye on. We knew we had a job to do, because you take an eye off this and you can come a cropper."
Looking forward to playing Celtic next...
"Every single game you want to win, we don't go into these games thinking about goal difference or wanting a draw, that's not in our nature.
"We've played them plenty of times now to know that feeling and know the expectation of that. We want three points on Monday and want to kick on from there."
Hearts co-assistant coach Gavin Beith: "We tired and conceded some slack goals towards the end, but we're more than happy with our performance.
"They're a top team, they pin you back, but the girls have been excellent."
On the Georgia Hunter injury... "It doesn't look great. We'll just need to assess that one over the next few days."
