Germany striker Nick Woltemade has scored six goals in four appearances at the European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia
Germany will play England in the final of the European Under-21 Championship after two early goals helped them beat France in the semi-final.
After reigning holders England defeated Netherlands 2-1 earlier on Wednesday, Germany only needed eight minutes before they opened the scoring in Kosice, Slovakia.
Nick Woltemade's pass found Paul Nebel and his shot was deflected on to the crossbar by France goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, with Nelson Weiper volleying in the rebound.
Weiper was involved in Germany's second six minutes later as he passed to Woltemade, whose first chipped effort was parried by Restes before the Stuttgart striker converted at the second attempt for his sixth goal of the tournament.
Tottenham's Mathys Tel missed two chances for France and Thierno Barry had a close-range diving header superbly stopped by Germany's Noah Atubolu.
Germany added a third goal in second-half stoppage time as Brighton midfielder Brajan Gruda tapped in from close range following Paul Wanner's low cross.
The final takes place in Bratislava on Saturday (20:00 BST).
What was the main talking point?
Germany's victory means the last two winners of this tournament - Germany in 2021 and England in 2023 - will meet in the final.
It will be their second match against each other in Slovakia after the Young Lions lost 2-1 to Germany in their Group B encounter on 18 June.
Both countries have won this competition three times. Germany beat England 4-0 in the 2009 final, while England gained a 5-4 aggregate triumph over West Germany to win the 1982 event.
Which players stood out?
Woltemade is the top goalscorer in the tournament and he will be the main man England will look to stop on Saturday.
It has been a superb end to the season for the 6ft 6in 23-year-old forward.
He scored for Stuttgart as they defeated Arminia Bielefeld 4-2 to win the German Cup and then made his senior Germany debut in the Nations League semi-final against Portugal at the start of June.
The standout stats
Germany have scored 15 goals from their five matches in the tournament and conceded five times after going through the qualifying campaign unbeaten with eight wins and two draws from their 10 games.
