Philippe Clement says he "doesn't expect" Ridvan Yilmaz to leave Rangers, despite speculation linking the left-back with a return to Besiktas, as he'd only let players go if a better replacement was there ready to come in.
"He's injured," Clement tells BBC Scotland. "We want to keep all our players that perform well. We can only let players go that perform well if we can replace them by better players, so I don't expect that in the case of Ridvan."
In terms of incomings, Clement is adamant plenty of work is going on behind the scenes with the directors and recruitment staff.
"We had meetings about players who have the level to help the team and to help us go the next level," the Belgian says. "We will see now in the next couple of hours what's possible for the club."
Clement also tells me that John Souttar won't play the whole 90 minutes this afternoon as the centre-half gets his first start since going off injured against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League on 12 December.
