I’ve loved the game. Like a lot of the games so far I find the early stages of other Euro competition or world cups cagey – but this has been anything but.

Wonderful atmosphere brewing here in the Stuttgart Arena, with over 50,000 gripped by a really good game.

Germany are edging it but the Hungarians will feel they're a tad unlucky not to be level; a great save from Manuel Neuer kept out Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai earlier.

Is this the result Scotland want; Germany to be effectively through and Hungary to be on no points?

"Please win” is the collective cry from fans here in Merchant Square.

Thomas Tait,18, from Paisley, says he is buzzing for tonight and expecting a win. 2-1 realistically but in his heart 6-0 to Scotland.

18-year-old Lucy Leyden, also from Paisley, says her message to the team is: "Give us some hope back!"

  9. 'Scotland won't tweak system'published at 17:30 British Summer Time 19 June

    Neil McCann

Andy: We clearly got our distances wrong on Friday night. Che Adams was isolated and you could drive a bus between the midfield and defence. Would you tweak the system or is it horses for courses?

Neil McCann: I wouldn’t tweak the system. We were virtually a 5-4-1 out of possession and I don’t think we’ll tweak that, but Andy’s right - the biggest problem for me was the area around the centre-backs which Ilkay Gundogan kept on finding.

Scotland captain Rachel Corsie says she expects a tactical battle between Scotland and Switzerland tonight.

The Swiss, who have not failed to reach a tournament since 2012, already have a win under their belts going into the match.

But Corsie believes Scotland can hit their opponents on the counter in Cologne.

"I think midfield is where Switzerland's strength is," said Corsie. "They've a lot of big name players in that area, but that's also where Scotland have a lot of strength.

"Defensively a lot of teams at the tournament have chosen to take on a lower block to make it difficult for these players who have the technical ability to play in small, compact areas.

"Switzerland are definitely a threat. I think they will have more of the ball than Scotland will but we'll look to hit them on the counter attack and we've been effective in that capacity.

"We have a system that we know... If we win the ball back, be a bit more effective in terms of creating our own attack, being able to keep the ball and find opportunities for the likes of Christie and McGinn - players that can be dangerous - I think we'll see a side that has more promise."

  14. Hungary will want to nick one against Germanypublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 19 June

    Billy Dodds
Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound

I don’t think Hungary be going high press against Germany. I think they’ll be cagey and if they can nick a winner that will be magnificent for them.

They’ve got to be cagey, they can’t go toe to toe with the Germans. But if they stick to the game, get in the German’s faces and limit Germany then they might be able to nick one

If they get a draw, they go into that Scotland game with a huge chance to qualify out the group.

They weren’t flying going into the tournament; I bet Naglesmann is delighted with the performance and how it turned out.

It looked a tricky tie for Germans, at home and Scotland doing well.

We could have caused them trouble but they blew us away. Any worries going into the tournament for Germany were rectified by that performance and he’ll be so much more confident.

The players that really caught my eye – we know about Havertz from Arsenal but Wirtz from Leverkusen, he was incredible.

They say he is the star coming up, he certainly looked it and him and Musiala tore us to shreds at times with their movement.

Meanwhile, in Stuttgart, Germany have just kicked off against Hungary.

Scotland probably want a Germany win there, but it matters little if they don't deliver later on.

  18. Scotland can still beat Swisspublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 19 June

Despite the 5-1 mauling in Munich, and the side's form in post-qualification friendlies, Neil McCann still believes Scotland can bounce back against Switzerland.

"I still think they retain the capability to show how good we are," he told the podcast.

"I still believe that if our players perform we wouldn't be far away. In Switzerland I saw a team that plays 3-4-3, they're not in the same calibre as Germany, and in the second half Hungary came on strong.

"That gives me confidence if we can replicate any of the form from the group we will be right in this game."

The Tartan Army have taken over the cathedral square near where a walk has been organised by fan groups and authorities - as a way to get supporters to the stadium two hours ahead of kick-off.

Cologne Police are set to close the roads in order to facilitate the walk and they tell me they are expecting over 20,000 Scotland fans.

Bagpipes and singing are promised, and we know Scotland fans are never short of either of those.
