Newport County ended a run of three straight League Two defeats as they returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory against Crewe Alexandra.
Cameron Evans rifled in the opening goal after 33 minutes at Rodney Parade, finding the top corner from outside the area.
Crewe substitute Adrien Thibaut equalised for the visitors nine minutes after coming on, sliding in at the back post to finish off a swift counter-attack.
But Crewe were level for just three minutes, as Wales Under-21 captain Matthew Baker rose highest to head home Anthony Glennon's cross.
Defeat sees Crewe drop out of the League Two play-off places, while Newport move back into the top half with victory, a point below The Railwaymen.
Newport County head coach Nelson Jardim told BBC Sport Wales:
"It was a massive win, for everyone and especially for the fans, once again I thank them for their support.
"They helped us a lot to make sure we kept the score at the three points at the end.
"We were up against a very good team, they will be up there, but today was about us and you can see the improvements."
