Sutton's predictions: Bournemouth v Swanseapublished at 11:56 25 January

This week, BBC pundit Chris Sutton is taking on Justin and Arni from indie band The Vaccines to predict the fourth round of the FA Cup.
First up is Bournemouth v Swansea City on Thursday 25 January (19:45 GMT).
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
I didn't realise Bournemouth were missing a few players when I backed them to get a draw against Liverpool at the weekend, and Andoni Iraola's options might be limited here too.
But I hope Iraola goes for it in the FA Cup - Swansea are having a pretty average season so this is a great opportunity for the Cherries to reach the last 16, something they have only managed five times since they were founded in 1899.
The furthest they have got is the quarter-finals, in 1957 and 2021, and they have never won a major trophy, so if you're a Bournemouth fan then you want to see them have a go at it now - especially since they look like they are good enough to stay in the Premier League.
As long as Iraola goes with a strong side, I'd expect them to get over the line.
Arni's prediction: 2-0
I'd love to go with an upset in a tie like this but Swansea are away and I don't see a shock happening.
Justin's prediction: 2-0
I agree - Bournemouth should be too good for them.

When Max Aarons limped off in the dying minutes of Sunday’s defeat by Liverpool, Bournemouth were not only reduced to 10 men for the final stages (having used all five substitutes), they were left with no remaining full-backs who could be considered 100% fit.
Aarons joins two other right-backs in the treatment room. Adam Smith has missed the last two games, while long-term absentee Ryan Fredericks’ last first-team appearance came more than 10 months ago.
On the other flank, Lloyd Kelly came off the bench against Liverpool, despite not being fully fit – while boss Andoni Iraola has said Milos Kerkez could be in line to return for Thursday’s FA Cup tie with Swansea, having missed the last six weeks.
Iraola has been forced to take the occasional “square peg in round hole” approach this season, particularly at left-back when main options Kerkez and Kelly have been unavailable. Central defender Chris Mepham and wingers Marcus Tavernier and Dango Ouattara have all filled in there at times, as have right-backs Smith and Aarons.
James Hill, recalled from his loan spell at Blackburn, was the latest makeshift left-back against Liverpool. It was a tough assignment, considering it was the 22-year-old former Fleetwood player’s first Premier League start – and that he is a right-footed centre-back by trade.
However, Hill acquitted himself well enough against Jurgen Klopp’s side to indicate that he may find he gets a few games at full-back in the short term.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations frees up winger Antoine Semenyo for an overnight flight to Vitality Stadium – possibly quickly enough for a place on the bench on Thursday.
Iraola on Aarons injury, Semenyo's return and FA Cup hopespublished at 13:55 24 January

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has been speaking to the media before Thursday's FA Cup fourth-round game against Swansea City.
Here are the key lines from his news conference:
Iraola said his side "will be thin" against Swansea due to ongoing injuries, but is hopeful left-back Milos Kerkez will be available.
Meanwhile right-back Max Aarons faces a period on the sidelines, as Iraola confirmed he has a muscle injury and will "be out for some time."
More on Kerkez: "Milos is young and energetic and I know that if he has a chance, he'll try to take it. He's been out for some weeks so I don't know his fitness level but at least we know we can use him if we need too."
On the possibility of Antoine Semenyo playing after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations: "He's travelling right now and is arriving tomorrow morning, so it's going to be difficult for him. I will try and talk to him and maybe he can be on the bench. It will be difficult because he's spent the night travelling."
In response to whether it is easier to prepare for Championship opposition given he has a depleted squad: "For me it’s an FA Cup game and that's it. We have to earn the right to play in the next game and the next round and take it like it’s our last chance."

The only previous FA Cup tie between Bournemouth and Swansea was in November 2000. The Cherries won that game 2-0 with goals from Wade Elliott and James Hayter.
Swansea are without a win in their past 12 games against Bournemouth in all competitions and have already lost 3-2 against them in the League Cup this season. No side has ever eliminated the Swans from both cup competitions in the same season before.
Bournemouth have lost their past two home FA Cup matches against teams from lower divisions than them.
Swansea City have lost their past six FA Cup ties against Premier League opposition, conceding three goals in five of those six defeats. Their last victory was in January 2014 away at Manchester United.
Jerry Yates has been involved in eight goals in his last nine FA Cup appearances (five goals, three assists).
'The club may try to help Iraola by bringing in a full-back'published at 12:55 23 January
Bournemouth are currently sitting pretty just below mid-table, so are more additions in the window needed?
Every fan of every club always likes something new and shiny to arrive during the transfer window, but long term - it may not be essential for some to do so.
Many could argue that we are one of those clubs, with us being as "safe" as I can remember in the top flight and having spent significantly in the last few windows. Therefore, it’ll probably be a January of very few incomings.
However, the lack of depth in certain areas may well be a key reason for consecutive league defeats for the Cherries, after what was an impressive unbeaten run.
Injuries to first choice full-backs have certainly left Bournemouth light in those particular areas recently, with both Dango Ouattara and Marcus Tavernier having to deputise, and the Cherries even having to recall defender James Hill from his Blackburn loan to come straight in and start against Liverpool.
All players mentioned have done an adequate job in that role, but it certainly isn’t ideal. So maybe after this weekend's defeat, and a new injury for Max Aarons, the powers that be at the club may try to help Andoni Iraola by bringing in a full-back to strengthen the squad somewhat.
Not long to go but we shall find out soon enough whether we stick with what has got us to 12th thus far, or if we try to help ourselves kick on even more.
Your thoughts on Sunday's gamepublished at 13:11 22 January
13:11 22 January
We asked you for your thoughts on Sunday's match between Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Here are some of your comments:
Bournemouth fans
Jon: A decent first half and we created chances through the game. I don't feel we did anything wrong in the second half - Liverpool just stepped it up a notch. Finishing with 10 wasn't ideal, and the scoreline flattered them a little. We'd love to have taken a point, but these aren't the games we need to win. Another defensive injury is worrying though.
Stanley: Wasn't a particularly bad performance and we competed well in the first half. However, Liverpool seemed to switch up a gear or two in the second half and in attack were too strong for a non-first choice Cherries backline to handle. Can't criticise the lads too much. It was a just a tough game against a good Liverpool side.
Paul: Totally outclassed all over the pitch, eventually running out of steam in second half. They tried but they will have to have much more talented players to reach that kind of standard.
Liverpool fans
Dan: Brilliant performance from the lads. We needed someone to step up in the absence of Salah - and Jota and Nunez did exactly that. Solid at the back and clinical up top. Fantastic.
Shuggieo: I think everybody thought this would be a banana skin game today. So the manner of Liverpool's performance in the second half felt like a title statement, especially with the players coming into the team.
Tommy: Liverpool won't get away with a rank first half performance like that against Arsenal or Man City. Second half was the best I've seen this season. Jota is by far our best striker at the moment so we haven't missed Salah or Endo. It should be amazing when we get all the injured players back - especially Andy Robertson.
Luke: Excellent performance by the Reds! Key players missing but were still able to unlock the Bournemouth defence. No Salah? No problem.
Leeds United 'family' show support for Anthonypublished at 09:55 22 January

Tom Gayle, BBC Radio 5 Live at Elland Road
Amid the ecstasy of a late winner against Preston, Elland Road was also able to demonstrate it was simply just a game of football, and there are much more important things in life.
Sadly, winger Jaidon Anthony lost his mother Donna earlier in the week. As a mark of respect Leeds United players, along with those from his parent club Bournemouth, wore black arm-bands during their fixtures on Sunday afternoon.
Anthony, on a season-long loan in West Yorkshire, was named in the match day squad and went on to be an unused substitute. I certainly felt a huge tug on my heart strings each time the 24-year-old and his team-mates jogged along the touch line, where he received rapturous applause from the home fans and, despite having a snood pulled up to just below his eyes, it visibly meant a lot to him.
Afterwards, manager Daniel Farke said: "We are a family at Leeds United and when there are tough times we have to be there. Jaidon is a brilliant lad, a brilliant team-mate, and all our support, help and thoughts this week are there for him.
"We are happy that he was really willing to be back in training to help us, and also to attend today [against Preston] to help us achieve these three important points. All our thoughts and support are with him and his family."
Solanke 'looked a little bit crushed by the end'published at 08:22 22 January
08:22 22 January
Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards says Gareth Southgate will need to see more from Dominic Solanke if he is to make his Euro 2024 England squad after being "physically dominated" in Sunday's defeat to Liverpool.
The in-form Bournemouth striker was kept quiet by Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in the 4-0 defeat against the league leaders.
"He was bullied by two elite centre-backs," Edwards told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast.
"There has been a lot of chat about him getting into that England squad, we're in the year of a major tournament. There is that position behind Harry Kane in the squad that people think is up for grabs.
"Callum Wilson has been injured a lot, you've got Ollie Watkins at Villa who's doing very well but there is the perception there is that place and Solanke has done really well this season.
"He's looked good but he was made to a look a flat-track bully today and I think if Gareth Southgate's looking at that in terms of 'I need a striker who can come on and give top level centre-backs a hard game' there would be an asterisk by his name now.
"I think Southgate will definitely need to see him produce against one of the big teams after that afternoon. It was uncomfortable for him, he was physically dominated and he looked a little bit crushed by the end. It just wasn't his afternoon."

Phil McNulty, BBC chief football writer at Vitality Stadium
Bournemouth crashed back down to earth after their recent improved form as they were well beaten by Liverpool at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries competed on level terms with the Premier League leaders in the first half but once Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool the lead early in the second half they were powerless to resist the attacking force of Jurgen Klopp's side.
There should be context, however, and while this was a sobering experience for Bournemouth it should not overshadow the progress made by Andoni Iraola's side after his uncertain start as manager when he succeeded Gary O'Neil.
Before they were overpowered by those second half goals, Bournemouth showed the confidence to try in the progressive style Iraola demands. They could not cope in the second half but the attacking power Liverpool possess will do this to other sides, not just Bournemouth.
The big disappointment was they could not get 12-goal leading scorer and Premier League Player Of The Month Dominic Solanke into any sort of dangerous positions against his former club.
It was a learning experience for Iraola and his players – and the highly-rated Spanish manager has already proved he is a fast learner.
Bournemouth 0-4 Liverpool: What Iraola saidpublished at 19:08 21 January
19:08 21 January
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to Sky Sports: "I think they were much better in the second half and were much more intense. They were winning the second duels and were much more clinical. We had corners and some shots but didn't score the goal when it was still 0-0. In the end they were better.
"We have to be at our best to compete with this opposition. We kept the game quite level for a while but as soon as we conceded the first goal probably, they did things more quickly and they made us pay.
"They were more intense. We weren't so aggressive or made the fouls that we needed to make. The physicality they put into the game you have to match. We did this for a lot of minutes but didn't keep that level.
"I think we will lose Max Aarons as we played with 10 men. He felt something. You never want injuries but especially with [other full-backs out] you don't want. Now we have to think. We have another cup game close and we will have to see who is available. We will be thin in this defensive side."
On if he will look to bring a player in during the transfer window: "Yeah, probably we will need a new player because we are thin right now. I don't know what will happen as there are still quite a few days in the market but right now we are thin."

Liverpool have won their past three away games in all competitions by an aggregate score of 8-0 - it's the first time the Reds have won three in a row without conceding on the road since March 2022 (run of five).
Darwin Nunez scored the 100th and 101st goals of his senior career for club and country, 25 of which have been for the Reds.
Only against Manchester City have Bournemouth lost more games (13) and conceded more goals (44) in the Premier League than against Liverpool (11 defeats, 43 goals conceded). The Cherries have conceded 3+ goals in eight of their past 10 league games against the Reds.
Bournemouth failed to score for the first time in their past 12 Premier League matches, while this was their heaviest home defeat in the competition since September against Arsenal (0-4).
Diogo Jota, who scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season for Liverpool, both scored and assisted in the same Premier League game for a sixth time – the past five occasions of which have been away from home.
Darwin Nunez (10 goals, 10 assists) became the first player to reach double figures for both goals and assists in all competitions for Premier League clubs this season.

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points as an impressive second-half display overpowered Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
In difficult conditions with the onset of Storm Isha, an even first half gave way to another show of Liverpool's attacking strength as two goals apiece from Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota sealed a deserved three points.
Liverpool hold that lead over Manchester City, Arsenal and Aston Villa - although Pep Guardiola's reigning champions have a game in hand.
Both sides struggled to create anything worthwhile in the first half but Nunez broke the deadlock four minutes after the break with a composed right-foot finish from Jota's pass.
Nunez was then involved in the build-up to Liverpool's second with 20 minutes left, battling to win possession for Cody Gakpo to release Jota, who beat Neto at his near post.
Jota got his second when he initially miscontrolled, but then recovered his poise to send a low shot beyond the Bournemouth keeper.
Nunez added the fourth in stoppage-time, diverting in Joe Gomez's cross.

Chris Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League matches again this season, against a variety of guests.
The winter break means the current set of fixtures are staggered over a two-week period. For part two of week 21, he takes on singer-songwriter and Arsenal fan JayO.
Sutton's prediction: 1-1
We've seen how Manchester City have done without Erling Haaland up front in the past few weeks - now it is Liverpool's turn to cope without Mohamed Salah, who is away with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Reds are without the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold too, which is another big blow, especially for a tricky game like this one.
I hope Liverpool win, just as I hope Arsenal beat Palace, because I want to see a title race that goes to the wire and City's form is beginning to look ominous.
The defending champions have already welcomed one 'bazooka' back from injury in Kevin de Bruyne to boost their attack, and they have got another to come when Haaland is fit again.
This is going to be a real test for Jurgen Klopp's side, though. Bournemouth lost at Tottenham in their last league game at the turn of the year but they created enough chances to win that game.
I was sceptical about Cherries boss Andoni Iraola at first, perhaps because Gary O'Neil didn't deserve to be sacked in the summer, but after a slow start he has shown why you should always give new managers time to get their ideas across.
Before that defeat at Spurs, Bournemouth were on a run of seven wins and a draw from their previous eight league matches. They are well-organised and will be poised to press Liverpool, and I have a feeling they will get something from this game.
JayO's prediction: Liverpool will struggle here. 2-1

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premier League game against Liverpool.
Here are the key lines from his news conference:
Iraloa confirmed Adam Smith and Milos Kerkez will miss Sunday's game but defender Lloyd Kelly "has a slight chance" of being in the matchday squad.
He said Bournemouth "will have to be at their best" against Liverpool and added: " I’m quite happy with the two games we've played against them but even then we weren’t able to even tie a game. We have to be at our best as they are top of the league."
Speaking about transfer interest in Kelly, he said: "We have no news about him. It’s uncomfortable days until the market is closed. We have to accept that we will be linked with names in and out."
In referencing his own targets in the market, Iraola said: "It will depend a lot on the departures we have. We are now without Joe [Rothwell], Junior [Stanislas] and we will see how Tyler Adams recovers. We need someone in the middle and it will depend on departures."
On James Hill, who was re-called from a loan spell at Blackburn this week, Iralola said: "He will help in defensive positions where we’ve had less players."
He said loan moves for Traore and Joe Rothwell "are good chances" for both players and "we wish them all the best".
'This season he is up there with the greatest' - Klopp on Solankepublished at 13:27 19 January
13:27 19 January
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is "so happy" for former Reds striker Dominic Solanke, who is enjoying his most prolific Premier League season with Bournemouth.
Klopp signed Solanke from Chelsea as a 19-year-old but he only managed one senior goal under the German manager before joining the Cherries in 2019.
He will be looking to add to his 12 league goals this season against his former team when they visit the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
"I'm so happy for Dom because when we signed him we were all so excited about the talent he had," Klopp said in his pre-match news conference.
"He had so much potential but it is Liverpool and we had other good strikers as well.
"He was probably not the most clinical yet but the talent was obvious. It was the right decision to go to Bournemouth, last season he scored enough goals but this season he is up there with the greatest.
"He is a really talented kid, I'm very happy for him."
Klopp was also full of praise for Andoni Iraola's impact at Bournemouth as, after a difficult start, the Spaniard has helped his side to 12th with four wins in their last five games.
"A really good mix, they play football in the right moments with good direction," Klopp added.
"They use Dominic Solanke in a sensational way with the support he gets from the wings. They are really good, really compact. That's proper."
Cherries reporters look forward to 'winnable' Liverpool testpublished at 09:42 19 January
09:42 19 January
BBC Radio Solent's Kris Temple believes Sunday's home match with league leaders Liverpool is "winnable" for Bournemouth.
The Cherries have won four of their past five Premier League games, beat Jurgen Klopp's side 1-0 in the corresponding fixture last season, and took the lead at Anfield earlier this campaign before eventually losing 3-1.
"At home, I think these games are winnable for Bournemouth - they beat Liverpool last season there," Temple told BBC Radio Solent's Cherries: Unpicked podcast. "They've had some great results at home.
"Liverpool's form is fairly ominous and they are top of the league. They've got it together, but they don't have (Mohamed) Salah. How much of an impact that makes when you have as many good players as Liverpool have I don't know, but it is good news for Bournemouth.
"Everything has got to go right for Bournemouth but they're definitely in a much better place when you've had the results they've had recently. The last game was disappointing but they still played well in defeat at Spurs.
"I'm excited for the game. I think it's a really good one to come back to."

Bournemouth have lost eight of their past nine league meetings with Liverpool, though the exception was a 1-0 win in this exact fixture last season.
Bournemouth have lost all nine of their Premier League games against teams starting the day top of the table, conceding 30 goals and scoring just six. It is the most such games any team has played in the competition with a 100% loss record.
Liverpool have won each of their past three Premier League away games, while the Reds last won four in a row on the road in the competition in March 2022.
Bournemouth have won three of their past four Premier League home games, as many as their previous 16 beforehand. They have scored nine goals in their past four league games at the Vitality Stadium, as many as their previous 11 prior to this.
Due to Egypt’s participation at this year’s Afcon, this will be Liverpool’s first Premier League game without Mohamed Salah since a 2-1 win at Southampton in May 2022. Since joining the Reds in 2017-18, Liverpool have lost none of their 10 Premier League games without him.
