Hull are one point and one place above the Championship relegation zone
Hull City head coach Ruben Selles said his side have to be happy with the 1-1 draw against Norwich City, even though they surrendered the lead.
"Every point is gold for us in the situation that we are in," Selles said.
"We have an argument that we could get three points but the opposition had a few chances. I think the game was competitive, the game was equal and the point is probably fair for everyone.
"We want to always get three points but recent experiences like today have not got any points – and today we got the point. It's put us a little bit closer to the target and we will build from there.
"We scored the goal. But sometimes you play against an opponent that starts to connect a little bit better – and that pushed us backwards. The goal early in the second half meant we had to restart again. But after that we managed the game well."

There's plenty at stake as Hull City welcome Norwich to the MKM on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
After their midweek defeat at Burnley, their second straight, the Tigers remain in the Championship relegation zone below Derby by virtue of their inferior goal difference.
The Canaries have fallen to 11th, four points adrift of the play-off places, after drawing at home to the Rams on Saturday and going down 1-0 to Preston at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.
Hull City have lost each of their past four league games against Norwich City, conceding 11 goals in that time.
Norwich are looking to beat Hull on successive Football League trips for the first time since December 1968.
Hull are yet to win a home league game in 2025 (D1 L3), which is their longest winless start at home in a year since 2020 (7 games).
Norwich are aiming to win successive away league games for the first time since January 2023 after beating Watford 1-0 at the start of the month at Vicarage Road.
Norwich's Josh Sargent has two goals in his last four league games against Hull, netting the second goal in their 4-0 win in the reverse fixture in October.

Ruben Selles readies his side for Burnley trip
Hull City boss Ruben Selles has been speaking to BBC Radio Humberside ahead of his side's trip to Turf Moor.
Here are the key lines:
New signing Lincoln has not been in training due to knee pain and may not be available for the Burnley game - though the Fenerbahce loanee did return to the training pitch on Monday
Midfielder Matty Crooks is fully fit and available, but defenders Finley Burns, Charlie Hughes and midfielder Kasey Palmer are not expected back until next week
Right-back Cody Drameh suffered a knee issue at the end of the loss to Stoke and has not been training, however, he is expected to return on Tuesday and may make the matchday squad
On new signing John Egan, a former Burnley defender: "I think he has been excellent in the week he has been with us. He's a player with a lot of experience and I think he can give us different things."
Selles believes it will "be difficult" for Dogukan Sinik to get minutes once he returns to full fitness amid rumours the forward may return to Turkey before the Turkish transfer window closes on Saturday
On transfer window: "I think we are as competitive as we can be. I think we are balanced. We have all the elements to stay in the league and be in good positions, now it's for us, and for me, to make it happen."
On Burnley: "It's about trying to turn that strength for them into opportunities for us. We have a very clear game plan of how we can do it."

Burnley will look to make up ground in the battle for automatic promotion against relegation-threatened Hull City on Wednesday (19:45 GMT).
The Clarets knocked out Premier League side Southampton in their 1-0 FA Cup win on the weekend, while their last outing in the Championship served Oxford United boss Gary Rowett his first defeat with the U's.
Hull City, however, lost against Stoke to see themselves hovering just one point above the relegation zone.
Burnley are unbeaten across their last six league games against Hull City (W2 D4), conceding one or fewer goals in each of those matches.
Hull City have lost 10 of their last 14 away league games against Burnley (W2 D2), though each of their last two visits to Turf Moor have ended in 1-1 draws.
Burnley have kept nine consecutive clean sheets in the Championship – only seven teams in Football League history have kept 10 in a row, most recently Torquay United in League Two between April and August 2010. No side in second tier history has ever kept 10 clean sheets in a row.
Hull have won their last three away league games without conceding, having lost five in a row beforehand. The Tigers have never won four away games in a row while keeping a clean sheet each time in their league history.
Burnley's 31 Championship games in 2024-25 have seen just 46 goals scored (37 for, 9 against) – at an average of just 1.48 per game, that is the lowest goals-per-game ratio for a team in a season in Football League history.

Eliot Matazo is already making an impression on Tigers fans
Earlier we asked what you made of Hull City's business in the transfer window.
Louie Barry, Eliot Matazo, John Egan and Matt Crooks were among the names brought in by Ruben Selles in the past few weeks, while Chris Bedia, Xavier Simons, Ryan Longman and Ryan Giles were among those moving on.
Here are some of your responses:
Paul: The manager needs to be bold now and actually play his new men and give them a chance to save the Tigers from the drop. Good to see a defender signed at the last minute rather than just a plethora of midfield/alleged strikers.
Chris: The transfer window was quite good considering our league position.
Peter: Been a City fan on and off for 60 years. This season has been dire. However, I watched the match against Sheffield United. This team should not be going down, I was impressed by the confidence in the squad. This new manager looks to be OK so let's give him a chance!
John: As usual panic signings at the wrong end of the season, as far as I can see no real quality. Selles needs to start sorting his rabble out, so inconsistent. How can you beat Sheffield United at their own ground and lose to a poor Stoke team? I won't be attending any more home games if this is the best they can do.
Mark: Hull have made some very good signings but need to gel quickly and get us up the table.
Dylan: All good signings that will bolster weak areas and some talent to develop in the future. All will be null and void if we can't sort out our home form, however.
Will: Some decent signings, especially that of Barry and Gelhardt on loan, Joseph showing promise.
Egan brings useful experience, as does Crooks. Matazo is quite the exciting player to watch. Unsure on the lack of depth at left-back.
I feel for Simons, always seemed to show small promise at times and Smith just needs the game time.
Don't know why Giles didn't go permanently if he doesn't want to be at the club anymore.
Matthew: A very strong window for such a struggling team but can't help but feel a left-back was needed and is needed. Good additions in Louie Barry, Kyle Joseph and even Matt Crooks are the three big ones and then Eliot Matazo from Champions League side Monaco is an excellent addition for this level.

Louie Barry made his Tigers debut in the home defeat to Stoke
It's time to talk about Hull City's transfer business...
One name on seemingly every Championship club's radar this month was Aston Villa's Louie Barry - and the Tigers won the race for his signature on loan for the remainder of the season.
Monaco midfielder Eliot Matazo, 22, has signed on a permanent deal while John Egan joined from Burnley on deadline day to shore up the Tigers defence.
Fenerbahce's Brazilian forward Lincoln has arrived on loan with striker Kyle Joseph, midfielders Matt Crooks and Nordin Amrabat and forward Joe Gelhardt also linking up with Ruben Selles' squad during January.
Forward Chris Bedia has departed, with Union Berlin sending him on loan to Swiss club Young Boys after three goals in 21 appearances for City this season while defender Ryan Giles has moved to Middlesbrough on loan, midfielder Xavier Simons has been allowed to join Wycombe and winger Ryan Longman has joined their promotion rivals Wrexham on a permanent deal.
Despite an improved showing since Selles replaced Tim Walter, the Tigers are one place and two points above the bottom-three, but will their new arrivals help fire them up the table?
We want you to tell us what you think about the Tigers' transfer dealings...

Hull have the worst home record in the Championship so far this season
Hull City boss Ruben Selles admitted they need to turn their home form around following Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Stoke City.
The Tigers have only won once in seven home games since Selles arrived on 6 December - a 2-1 victory against Swansea City.
Following their latest setback, he told BBC Radio Humberside: "I understand that fans will want to see more victories at home. It's frustrating for everyone. We are all in it together and if we were not getting the result we want I, and the team, need to do things better.
"We controlled for 42 minutes of the game and created enough situations to score a second goal. But that's the Championship - when you are in these situations you have to be ruthless and, unfortunately, we conceded a goal from one isolated action.
"Their two goals were disappointing so we need to speak to individuals and as a team about how we go through these moments.
"The second half was not as good as the first but we were still creating situations. "We did a lot of good things more than enough to get a result."

Chris Bedia's final goal for Hull City came in December in the 1-1 draw with Watford
Chris Bedia has had his loan spell at Hull City cancelled in order to join Swiss side Young Boys.
The 28-year-old forward from the Ivory Coast moved to the Tigers from Union Berlin in the summer and made 21 Championship appearances, including nine starts.
He scored three times in his spell at the club, including goals in back-to-back matches against Cardiff City and QPR at the end of September and start of October.
His final appearance came as a substitute in the 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough on New Year's Day.

Hull City welcome Stoke to the MKM on Saturday (15:00 GMT) for a game with potentially big implications in the bottom half of the Championship.
The two sides are level on points, two points clear of the drop-zone, with the Tigers one place ahead of the 20th-placed Potters by virtue of their goal difference being two goals better.
Hull City have won two of their past three league games against Stoke City (L1), as many victories as across their prior 15 meetings with the Potters combined between 2010 and 2023 (D3 L10).
Stoke City have won each of their past three away league games against Hull City, keeping a clean sheet in each of those victories.
Hull have won just one of their past 11 home league games (D4 L6), failing to keep a clean sheet in any of those matches during that time.
Stoke have failed to win any of their past seven away league games (D3 L4), last enduring a longer run on the road without winning during an eight-match streak between January and April 2022.
Matt Crooks has scored five goals in seven career EFL appearances against Stoke City – his joint-most against any side during his career.
