'I wasn't even born last time Ipswich beat us!' - More of your thoughts on derby day glory
We've got more of your views on a stirring East Anglian derby day win for Norwich City on Saturday:
J Crabb: Would absolutely love to meet Ipswich in the play-offs. It would be an effective 'bye' for NCFC. Ipswich bottle it every time they face us. 🙏🙏
Sophie: Nunez - take a bow! He's the new derby hero and I was so happy and relieved that we beat Ipswich! It was my first East Anglian derby and what an atmosphere and a brilliant match! Cue the singing... 15 years, 15 years... I wasn't even born last time Ipswich beat us!! OTBC 💛💚
Thomas - I’m proud of the boys for their determination and persistence. You could see from the beginning how they wanted to win the game. Even though the result was 1-0, there was intent from both sides throughout. It’s obviously a very helpful win as well as it keeps us in the play-off spot. OTBC!
Kevo - Brilliant result against the team from Suffolk. Man of the Match - Josh Sargent, kicked all over the place but still carried on.
15Years - I am so happy that we beat Ipswich and the tension is gone. I don’t want to play them in the play-offs. I’d honestly rather they went up automatically than we played them. As funny as their loss today is, I do respect their achievements this year, I wouldn’t be sad if they went up - they’ll go straight back down anyway.
Paul - Saturday meant everything to me, being a City fan. Yes it would be good to entertain a play-off spot, but the result today for me was worth more. Think we’ve helped mix up the automatic race and in doing so we’ve bolstered our own play-off hopes. Pivotal? Who knows, but the record goes on.
Kevin - After attending the Leicester City game, there was some trepidation about what would happen against Ipswich. Yellow fans deserved better and my word we got it yesterday. Talk about a twelfth man! OTBC.
Barry - A real gutsy performance from all the team - a credit to the manager and fans!
Peter - The first half with us hunting the ball and being dangerous around their box was brilliant. Every player played really well. Special call outs for Sam McCallum who defended fantastically, best game he's had as a defender, and of course the brilliant Marcelino Nunez. The best footballing midfielder we've had for a long while in his current role.

Your thoughts on Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town
What a weekend it has been for Norwich City fans.
The team continued their derby day dominance against Ipswich Town with a 1-0 win at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Here are some of your thoughts about the win:
Liam - We really do have a hold over that lot in blue don't we? They looked very ordinary - passes being played straight out of play, ball control nowhere to be seen, no real attacking threat and a goalkeeper who wouldn't be out of place in League One. Whether it's Grant Holt doing some magic back in 2010 or not, who cares? We are the pride of East Anglia.
Lee - There aren’t many teams who have stopped Ipswich scoring this season. It was a fantastic performance from Norwich - Angus Gunn never really had a save to make. It feels so good that despite having their best season for a quarter of a century they still can’t beat us. East Anglia is yellow!
Elliot - A fantastic result that solidifies our playoff place. I would like to see Ipswich automatically promoted and we then win the play-offs. This would be topped off by Luton managing to stay up in the Premier League. Imagine three East Anglian teams in the Premier League, lots of local derbies and more local interest. We might all be relegation favourites…
Shaun - Love it, absolutely love it. Ipswich have had a very good season, we had a poor start. If we were like this all season we'd be up there.
Phil - Win's a win and if they bottle the promotion and are stuck in the play-offs, I definitely believe we'll beat them comprehensively like the last time! We'll have Rowe back by then too. Oh, exciting times!
Marshall - All I can say is, they didn’t play well because we didn’t let them.

Norwich City continued their incredible record against East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town with a 1-0 win at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Marcelino Nunez scored the decisive goal in the first half.
Cedric Anselin was BBC Radio Norfolk's guest summariser, he had this to say at full-time:
"They've done it again, it's an incredible atmosphere at Carrow Road.
"Look at the fans, it's beautiful all-yellow and green. Another win, invincible against Ipswich. We can keep talking about where they are in the league and they are a fantastic team, but today I thought we (Norwich) were absolutely superb."
He continued: "We battled and worked for each other. Yes, you can argue that in the final third we weren't at our absolute best, but the game is about maintaining your lead and we did that beautifully today."

Stats of the day - Norwich City v Ipswich Townpublished at 11:29 6 April
11:29 6 April
It's the biggest game of the season - the East Anglian derby. Here are some OPTA stats to check out ahead of the match:
Norwich City are unbeaten in their last 11 league games against East Anglian rivals Ipswich Town (W6 D5) since a 3-2 defeat back in April 2009
Ipswich are winless in their last eight away league visits to Norwich (D4 L4) since a 2-1 win under Joe Royle in the 2005-06 season
Norwich have won each of their last seven league games at Carrow Road; their longest run in the top two tiers of English football since a run of nine such victories in the second tier in November 2003
Ipswich’s 26 league wins this season is already the joint-most by a newly promoted side in a single second tier season in England along with Manchester City in 1999-00 and Southampton in 2011-12. Indeed, the Tractor Boys have won nine of their last 10 league matches (L1)
Ipswich’s 31 points won from losing positions is more than any other side in the top four tiers this season, and the most by a Football League side since Manchester United in 2020-21 (also 31)

Derby day classic - Incredible Holtpublished at 08:30 6 April
08:30 6 April
The Norwich City supporters still sing about the day Grant Holt scored a hat-trick against the Canaries' arch-rivals Ipswich Town on 28 November 2010.
Wes Hoolahan scored the other goal as City won 4-1 at Carrow Road in a game that was televised live on the BBC.
Later that season, City thrashed Town 5-1 at Portman Road on their way to promotion back to the Premier League for the first time in nine years.
We have all been blown away by Josh Sargent's return from injury, the man just cannot stop scoring. Plaudits entirely deserved, it is hard to look back on the historically sarcastic chanting of 'Sargent's on fire' without feeling a little sheepish. Thankfully the all too familiar NCFC 'gallows humour' is quickly becoming a distant memory.
Whilst in no doubt that Sargent will be pivotal to our ascension as the season draws to a close, we cannot and should not overlook the importance of a certain Mr Jonathan Rowe to this campaign - from whom Sargent has only just taken the crown of City's top goal scorer for the season.
At the tender age of 20, Rowe stormed into the starting 11 and our hearts with his pace and sheer talent, not to mention the fact that this prodigy is a success story from Colney (cue the chant!) who also kept our beloved derby record firmly in tact (15 years, I hear) - automatically earning him legendary club status.
Throughout our string of injuries, we have relied heavily upon Rowe to bring home points. His impact cannot be underestimated in teeing up the charge to the top-six. Without Rowe we could be looking at a potential deficit of at least seven points from our current total which would see us down in 10th, relying on the misfortune of others to keep our promotion hopes alive. As it is however, we are tantalisingly close to playoffs, and the power is in our hands, in a large part due to Rowe.
Understandably touted for a Premier League move in the January transfer window, and now nominated for EFL Young Player of the Season, I have no doubt he is nowhere near his ceiling. But for his hamstring injury, I am sure those whispers would not have quelled.
Whilst it has only been a few weeks since Rowe's last game pre-injury, his absence has felt much longer. Being a hopeless romantic, the second he was out, I had notions of a heroic return to Carrow Road on 6 April to send shivers down the spines of our East Anglian rivals, who must still be quivering from their last encounter.
But if we are to go beyond 4 May and make a play for Wembley and the top flight, getting Rowe fully fit is a priority. Whilst I am sure many of us hoped he would feature in Saturday's game against Ipswich, the overall cost to the club if his hamstring took a set-back would arguably not be proportionate, albeit extremely tempting had he been available!
In whatever capacity Rowe returns, whether in the commentators box with Onel; banging in goals past our rivals; or indeed striding out in front of 40,000 City fans at Wembley, he is a remarkable talent whose legacy is only just beginning. And whilst I hope that Sargent's streak is far from over, Jonny Rowe - we are lucky to have you, thanks for getting us to the home straight!
