Spain defender Laia Codina tells BBC Sport that the squad has become stronger because of their battles both on and off the pitch over the last few years, including the court case involving former national football federation boss Luis Rubiales.

Rubiales was found guilty of sexual assault last week for kissing Spain player Jenni Hermoso without her consent and ordered to pay a fine of €10,800 (£8,942) by Spain's High Court.

He was acquitted of coercion, for allegedly trying to pressure Hermoso into saying publicly that the kiss was consensual.
