Hearts manager Eva Olid: "The first half we dominated and we could have scored more goals.

"In the second half Partick came to press higher and with a lot of energy and we had a few problems.

"I'm happy with the first half and in the second half we needed to be better but credit to Partick that they improved in the second half."

Partick Thistle manager Brian Graham: "Hearts were absolutely fantastic in the first half and we couldn't really get to grips with them.

"We regrouped at half-time and were probably the better side second half but we gave them a third goal with another mistake. We get it back to 3-2 but ran out of time."

  2. Spartans 0-0 Dundee United: What the managers saidpublished at 11:35 7 May

Spartans manager Jack Beesley: "I'm disappointed not to win but I think we actually played quite well.

"Defensively I thought we looked quite resolute, going forward we had quite a lot of territory without creating any clea0cut openings."

Dundee United manager Suzy Shepherd: "In the dying seconds we should have taken the three points.

"It wasn't a great performance and we would have taken the point but I think to have that opportunity at the end it's disappointing not to take all three."

  3. Montrose 1-1 Motherwell: What the managers saidpublished at 11:34 7 May

Montrose manager Craig Feroz: "It was difficult, Motherwell are a good side and they were a real threat up front. Credit to our girls, it took a lot out of us to get a draw at Pittodrie on Tuesday.

"It was obviously pleasing to get a 1-1 draw but Motherwell probably deserved to shade it. Sometimes we panic, it is our first season in the league and that maybe showed."

Motherwell manager Paul Brownlie: "We were magnificent for large parts of the game. It was just the final part of our game that let us down.

"I think it shows you the narrative of the game when the goalkeeper walks away as player of the match. I was disappointed for my players because we deserved more."

Accies were 2-0 up at half-time before going on to draw 3-3

Hamilton Accies manager Robert Watson: "I think if you were a neutral it's probably one of the best games you see all season.

"From our point of view to be 2-0 up and not win the game is obviously disappointing but considering where we are, the results elsewhere, it was important we didn't lose when it got back to a draw.

"We've got a bit of a threadbare squad at the moment but I need to credit them for battling and fighting and keeping it alive for another week."

Aberdeen manager Clinton Lancaster: "We knew it would be a tough place to come, Hamilton are doing what they can to stay in the league.

"We made it harder for ourselves when we went down to 10. To come back and get a point shows good character from the group."

  5. Glasgow City 2-2 Hibernian: What the managers saidpublished at 11:27 7 May

Glasgow City manager Leanne Ross: "It was frustrating but it probably sums up our whole season. That's a game that we're in control of, we had a lot of chances to put it to bed.

"The game should have been done and dusted in the first half and Hibs are a team that we know if they get back into the game they will be dangerous and we've paid the price for that."

Hibernian manager Grant Scott: "It's a strange one because we've had recent performances that have probably been better than that and we've taken nothing.

"So it's ironic that we've not really turned up until the 65th minute and come away with the point.

"I've got to commend the character of the players.the commitment to the cause was excellent."

Jane Lewis' team of the week

Victoria Esson (Rangers) - Was alert to the danger from Celtic’s Natasha Flint keeping out a couple of her efforts. Her save from Flint early in the second half was exceptional - a vital save.

Chloe Craig (Celtic) - Made some crucial blocks, and as the game wore on, her leadership on the pitch was evident.

Tessel Middag (Rangers) - Solid at the back for Rangers and so composed on the ball. Was first to a few dangerous deliveries in clearing the threat.

Poppy Lawson (Hibs) - Popped up with an injury-time goal for her side, and what a finish it was. Calm when the ball was cushioned down into her path.

Kodie Hay (Partick Thistle) - Great vision and technique for her goal. Her arrowed strike encouraged Thistle to really go for it with the clock ticking down.

Katie Lockwood (Hearts) - Assisted the opening goal with an inch-perfect ball in, and scored Hearts’ third. Lovely touch to then dedicate the goal to the injured Georgia Hunter as part of her celebration.

Eilidh Shore (Aberdeen) - Her through=ball for Aberdeen’s opener was perfectly weighted, while her strike to ensure the Dons picked up a point was absolutely stunning. From 25 yards out, she directed the ball into the back of the net with apparent ease.

Lucy Ashworth-Clifford (Celtic) - Her deliveries were more often than not bang on the money. Was influential in setting up Celtic’s attacks.

Kathleen McGovern (Hearts) - Two goals within two minutes gave Hearts the lead. Was alert for her second goal taking advantage of a goalkeeping error.

Josi Giard (Hamilton Accies) - Showed bravery in going for the ball for the opener with the opposition keeper coming out, controlled it beautifully to finish off. Showed some lovely skill at times to get the better of the opposition, she maybe could have added to her tally.

Bayley Hutchinson (Aberdeen) - Her goalscoring form continues, two very different goals this weekend, but both important as they got Aberdeen back into this match. She’s always in the right place at the right time.

After Rangers' 0-0 draw with Celtic, it's the latter who have the advantage going into the final three games of the season.

The sides are joint on points but Celtic's superior goal difference has them narrowly in front, and former Scotland midfielder Leanne Crichton is delighted to have some late drama in the top flight.

"We know it can twist and it can turn - it might again," she said.

"It's a brilliant run-in. It's everything we want for the SWPL.

"Behind closed doors, the chat at Rangers would have been this was a must-win game.

"They needed the three points today, which they haven't done. Now they're relying on Celtic dropping points, which is a huge ask.

"The Celtic camp seem very confident, albeit they're keeping it very lowkey."

  8. Celtic 'in the driving seat' in SWPL title racepublished at 17:08 6 May

Shelley Kerr insists Celtic are "in the driving seat" for the SWPL title after their 0-0 draw with Rangers.

Celtic remain top of the league as the points were shared at Broadwood but only on goal difference.

"I don't think Jo Potter will be happy with the amount of chances they created," Kerr said.

"I think she will be disappointed.

"The pressure is on them both, they need to win all their games but Celtic are in the driving seat."

Rangers travel to Glasgow City next weekend needing to take all three points.

"You've got players at Glasgow City that have been there, done it and bought the t-shirt, you've got a manager in Leanne Ross who has as well," Kerr added.

"I expect it to be really competitive. I think it will come down to who makes the best decisions."

  10. Player of the match: Mia McAulay (Rangers)published at 16:26 6 May

Mia McAulay's team-mates could have used some of the 17-year-old's bravery on the ball.

Her drive and quality were on show in the first-half, before being denied a stunner by the crossbar.

Elena Sadiku stuck with the same side that drew with Glasgow City in midweek after noting how much more recognisable her team were in comparison to the performance against Rangers at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

While that may have been the case, in the past three games the Swede must be slightly concerned that the zip and freedom synonymous with the league leaders has fizzled out.

Since returning from injury, Amy Gallacher has cut a frustrated figure and has not looked like the effective creator providing wonderful assists just a matter of weeks ago.

It's a bit congested up top for Celtic at times, having lost the fluency and rhythm that allowed for some captivating interchanges earlier in the season.

But the same could be said for Rangers. So far, PFA Scotland SWPL manager of the year Potter has managed her four frighteningly talented strikers to a tee, but Kirsty Howat, Rio Hardy and Lizzie Arnot were noticeably quiet, with Jane Ross off the bench in the second period.

Rangers registered just one shot on target and even that came deep into the game.

Rangers completed an SWPL clean sweep at Sunday night's PFA awards.

Jo Potter won the award for manager of the year while Rachel Rowe and Mia McAulay won player of the year and young player of the year respectively.

It's Potter's first season in Scotland and her first season in management and she's already guided her side to the SWPL Cup trophy and into the Scottish Cup final with the league title still up for grabs.

Speaking to PFA Scotland after picking up the award, the Rangers manager said: "It's big for us as a club and it's big for me to be able to represent my club.

"It's a nice touch to go so far especially when we're not done yet.

"We're in a very good position so far and I've got my players and my staff to thank."

Hearts have confirmed captain Georgia Hunter sustained an Anterior Cruciate ligament injury in Wednesday's game against Rangers.

  15. Celtic have a point to prove v Rangers - Potterpublished at 18:00 4 May

Rangers manager Jo PotterImage source, SNS

Rangers manager Jo Potter is expecting Celtic "to come out all guns blazing" in Monday's Old Firm.

Celtic were 2-1 winners the last time the sides met in the league but Rangers came out on top in the Scottish Cup semi-final last weekend.

"I'm expecting Celtic to come out all guns blazing because they need to produce something for themselves and try to show us what they're capable of," Potter told club media, external.

"They're a good team, there's no doubt about that but we've proved that we can match, and be better, and keep their players quiet.

"We need to make sure we're ready for that challenge."

  16. Aberdeen want to 'put things right' against Accies - Stewartpublished at 17:53 4 May

Aberdeen captain Hannah Stewart says her side aren't underestimating the challenge of Hamilton Accies on Sunday.

The Dons come up against an Accies side who are fighting for survival at the bottom of the table.

The last time the sides met Clint Lancaster's side came from two goals down to win 3-2.

“It is a chance to put things right after our last trip to Hamilton, where we didn’t play as well as we know we can," the striker said.

“It is massive to go four games unbeaten now. We will take confidence from that going into Hamilton on Sunday. It will be a good chance to get out there and continue our unbeaten run.

"We won’t underestimate Hamilton. We know they can take points off us.

"They are fighting, so it won’t be an easy game, but we need to take that confidence from the last few games and use that on Sunday.”

Rachel McLauchlan is ready to play her part in Rangers' title charge after missing the last few weeks through injury.

The defender returned to the side in recent weeks after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

"It's tough watching on from the sidelines," McLauchlan said.

"No one wants to be there. I'm just really happy to be back on the pitch.

"It's been a good few games to come back for. I'm really enjoying it and I just want to play my part until the end of the season.

Rangers boss Jo Potter praises "big-game player" Chelsea Cornet as the Ibrox side prepare to face title rivals Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Monday.

Glasgow City's Chloe WarringtonImage source, SNS

Full-back Chloe Warrington has signed a new Glasgow City deal until 2026.

The 21-year-old joined from Celtic in 2022 and has made 38 appearances for the defending SWPL champions.

“I’m delighted to sign another deal with Glasgow City," Warrington said.

"I have really enjoyed the past two years here as a player. I feel like I have still got a lot more to give to this club and I am excited to see where these next couple of years takes me.”

Head coach Leanne Ross added: “It is easy to forget that Chloe is still only 21 with what she has already achieved in the game.

"With a first SWPL title under her belt last season, adding to her Champions League experience and youth international caps at all age groups, Chloe has been such an important part of our squad over the last two seasons."
