And now Charles Leclerc is under pressure once again, this time it's his own team-mate Lewis Hamilton who is trying to overtake. The seven-time world champion is quicker on his mediums, so Ferrari pit Leclerc to dump his soft compound, and he comes out in ninth place.

But now Leclerc is on fresh mediums. What can he do from here?

Engineer: "I know you're busy, but we just had our third strike for track limits, turn 13. We think you were pushed off, but we have had a black and white flag. So, be careful."

Anon: This is honestly terrible from Norris. Doing the same overtake move over and over on Leclerc, who's simply not falling for it.

Is Lando Norris going to pit? No. Stay out for now on those medium tyres. Charles Leclerc is a soft runner and those red tyres are doing a sterling job.

Hold up. Norris has been giving a warning for track limits! One more and the Briton will be handed a penalty.

    Lap 19/56

Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc reach Turn 12 - prime overtake real estate. The Briton is pulling out every trick in his playbook but once again, Leclerc is wise to it, defending like he's the one who is in the championship fight. Norris stays third, Leclerc second.

Lando Norris will have to be patient tonight - there's a championship on the line after all. Charles Leclerc wants to keep that second place in Ferrari hands but the McLaren driver needs every point he can get at COTA.

The plucky Monegasque, he is doing a beautiful job not only of keeping Lando without an opportunity but he is making these tyres work. It's a great sign for Ferrari. Nevertheless he is now slower than Lando.

The Red Bull of Max Verstappen is comfortable out front with a six-second lead but behind the four-time world champion it's all to play for. Lando Norris is within DRS strike range of Charles Leclerc but still the Ferrari stays ahead. Kimi Antonelli has moved up the field after his collision with Carlos Sainz and is now running in 16th place.

Max Verstappen has extended the lead by two seconds in the last two laps, so this is really scuppering Lando Norris' attempts to chase down Verstappen if he can - but we are not finding out right now.

Lando Norris has two track limit warnings - be careful, Lando. The fight with Charles Leclerc is bringing the other Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton into play. The seven-time world champion is still fourth, but he's in the mirrors of the Norris and Leclerc.

Charles has had a bit of a break with the safety car and saved his tyres a bit. He's given himself a few more laps, now he's getting into a possible one-stop window, you'll never know. Under normal circumstances now, those tyres will need to have come in for a pit stop but he's not. Lando is actually closing up to him a little bit so maybe the soft tyres are starting to complain a bit more. Currently he is reasonably comfortable. They are hanging on and we are guessing as to what the strategy will be.

  14. Norris challenging Leclercpublished at 20:30 BST

    Lap 15/56

This could be the moment for Lando Norris on the back straight. The McLaren takes one bite, two bites, but Charles Leclerc in his Ferrari is defending like crazy. The two make it out of Turn 18 unscathed and Leclerc lives to fight another day in second.

Should Lando Norris be flagged for track limits? Charles Leclerc thinks so. The McLaren man ran slightly wide a few moments ago, but he's still on the rear wing of the Monegasque driver's car, as he tries to claim back that second place.

  17. Team Radio - Russell to Mercedespublished at 20:27 BST

    Russell: "Piastri seems slow."

Engineer: "Yes, I think he is struggling with his front left."

Max Verstappen leads Charles Leclerc by 4.1 seconds but Lando Norris, behind in third, is closing within DRS range of the Ferrari. George Russell, meanwhile, flags that Oscar Piastri in fifth is looking slow. Russell is in sixth, where the Australian started this race.

Lance Stroll took out Esteban Ocon attempting an overtake in the sprint yesterday but this time the Canadian gets it right, sweeping past the Alpine of Franco Colapinto in his Aston Martin for 14th place.

The gap from Hamilton to Norris is 1.3 seconds, the gap from Hamilton to Piastri is 1.3 seconds, the gap from Russell to Piastri is 1.3 seconds. You can see everything has settled a bit, you wonder if they are actually now in tyre saving strategy observing mode.
