McLaren's Lando Norris won the Mexico Grand Prix, speaking to Sky Sports: "It's been a very good weekend from start to finish. I kept my head down and kept to myself, it's working at the minute.

"This weekend has probably been one of my best weekends that I've had this season, so it's a good load of points but that's it for now. It's a reset and then it's a focus on Brazil."

On the importance of momentum: "I'm not a believer in momentum, like I said one great weekend really doesn't mean anything, but two, three or four in a row means something.

"I'm fighting the best cars in the world who can turn it around at any time. I just focus on myself, on my own job and that's all I can do."

Mercedes' chief communications officer Bradley Lord, speaking to Sky Sports: "George involved with the incident with Max and Lewis - George felt aggrieved.

"When you look back, rightly so, he was probably the only guy to stay in between the white lines yet came out in a losing position and then got forced off the track again at turn five and lost out there too."

Mercedes' George Russell, speaking to Sky Sports: "I was more frustrated in the race situation. I don't understand how three drivers can cut the first corner and then reenter where they continued.

"Allowing you to risk everything and having a get out of jail card if you get it wrong.

"Obviously, Max and Lewis, when they came together, Lewis got a penalty, rightly so, but Max was off the track. Wrong place, wrong time and I lost three positions, so I was pretty frustrated.

"We have seen it almost every year we have been here. I think Carlos [Sainz] last year, Charles [Leclerc] the year before and Lewis [Hamilton] 10 years ago. Like lawn mower racing. Something needs to change there.

"In the end, we deserved to finish where we did.

"It all stems from turn one. From the Max and Lewis situation, I shouldn't have been in that position."

Red Bull's Max Verstappen, speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought we were struggling a lot for pace, but in hindsight it was probably also the tyres not being great. As soon as we went on to the soft we seemed a bit more competitive, not compared to Lando.

"At least we did the perfect strategy - medium, try go long, and then try to optimise the longest stint on the soft while everyone was on the medium struggling.

"It is fine to think differently, but we need to be faster. We had some really good races, but even in the races we won, if you look at the time management, McLaren are still very strong."

On his soft tyres: "They were getting worn. I think it would have been a nice battle at the end [with Charles Leclerc], but it didn't happen. That's fine, sometimes it works for you, and sometimes it works against you.

"I was getting excited to battling with him because I think we always have good battles."

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton started in third and finished in eighth, he said: "It was fun at the start and then it didn't end up the way I had hoped, but that's motor racing."

On re-joining the track: "It's very very dirty offline and I did my best to bring the car back to the track safely, and that's all I could hope for."

On taking some positives from the weekend: "Yeah, I got some points at least."

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, speaking to Sky Sports about Max Verstappen nearly overtaking him at the end: "That was the most stressful part of the race. I felt that this would be the end of my race.

"The last part of the race was quite tricky. I knew that Max was on the preferred tyres at that point.

"The soft today was much better, which is very strange. I'm happy with everything - we got a bit lucky with the safety car."

On the start of the race: "Chaos as well for me. Obviously there was Lewis on the inside. I didn't think he expected that. There was Max on the outside and there was a little bit of contact.

"I had to go straight, but it was quite stressful. I thought the race would end for me and Lewis."

On Lewis Hamilton's manoeuvre at the start of the race: "It is racing. Lewis wanted to try take his shot. I would have done exactly the same if I was him. It is completely normal."

Oliver Beaman finished fourth in the Haas, speaking to Sky Sports: "It feels great, I'm really happy that is our joint-best finish in the history of the team. We had a great race and of course I was lucky to be where I was before the first stop, but actually we had the pace to stay there.

"I held off Max [Verstappen] in the first stint, I held off the Mercedes in the second and the McLaren in the third, so I was under a lot of pressure.

"I spent most of the time looking in my rear view mirrors than in front but that is sometimes how it has to be. I'm really proud of the team because that really validates all the hard work we've been doing for the past few races."

McLaren's Oscar Piastri, speaking to Sky Sports: "There was a lot of fight. The whole race I was right behind someone and struggling with dirty air, so that was pretty difficult.

"For me, the biggest thing is trying to learn the things I want to learn. Yesterday it became obvious after the session that there were a few things I had to change pretty majorly in the way I was driving.

"If I've made some progress with that I will be happy, but obviously, when your team-mate wins the race, finishing fifth is nothing that extravagant.

"I think I have had to drive very differently in the last couple of weeks. That's been a little bit kind of strange to get my head around. I have been driving exactly the same all year - but the last couple of weekends the car, the tyres or something has required quite a different way of driving. I've just not really gone to that. I tried a few things changing it up today and once we analyse whether that's been effective or not hopefully we'll see some progress.

"The car has not changed for a while now so it is nothing to do with the car. Given how the pace has differentiated last couple of races - clearly Lando has found it easier to dial into that and I haven't.

"I think it is important to remember for the other 19 races the way I've been driving has been working pretty well.

"It is about adding tools to the toolbox rather than reinventing myself."

Ollie Bearman is driver of the day and rightly so. He's hugging his family in the paddock now and being cheered by friends and colleagues.

This will feel like a big win for Lando Norris and rightly so, but the lead is just one point and there will no doubt be plenty more twists and turns to come.
