Lap 11/24
Kimi Antonelli is the fastest man on track on his medium tyres but he can't get close enough to mount a challenge on Lando Norris. Charles Leclerc is sixth and hunting down Fernando Alonso for fifth but the Ferrari man will have to wait another lap for a chance to strike again.

Lando Norris leaving it as late as possible going really slow and backing everyone up. I think he was doing it on purpose to make sure chaos ensured behind.
George Russell tried his best to ruffle the feathers of his Mercedes team-mate Kimi Antonelli but the Italian rookie survives the first wave of attack. DRS is enabled and Lando Norris leads us through another lap. The McLaren driver, top of the standings by one point, is 1.2 seconds ahead of Antonelli.
Lando Norris gets us going again and it's a great restart by the McLaren driver. Max Verstappen is under pressure from the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso but he manages to bat away the attack from the Spaniard.
Lando Norris will restart on the softs, while Kimi Antonelli and George Russell are now on the mediums along with Max Verstappen and the two Ferrari boys. Fernando Alonso is also a softie.
The red flag is lifted and we're nearly ready to go racing again. How will Oscar Piastri be feeling now? As he said yesterday, there are more points on offer in Sunday's main grand prix but if Lando Norris wins, he'll extend his advantage over the Australian before qualifying.
Nico Hulkenberg has headed out on track to put down a lap and clear the front cars so he's not in the way. What start are we getting? A rolling one...

At one point we were all saying that Oscar Piastri was the ice man and he couldn't make any mistakes, but the last couple of race weekends have been riddled with them.
It's really uncharacteristic of him to be making all these mistakes, so I think it does go to show that maybe he's not feeling as confident in the car or in himself.

Piastri, Colapinto and Hulkenberg crashing at turn three almost gives me vibes of the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, where almost everyone crashed there.

A big moment in the championship battle. This Sprint DNF for Piastri is the difference between a P1 and P2 in one of the remaining four Grand Prix races.
Max Verstappen's not a happy bunny in that Red Bull so he might try something different [with the tyres], but at the same time he needs to make ground, so he might be tempted to go for the soft tyre again.
The marshals are out and the clean-up and repair work to the barriers at Interlagos begins, as George Russell and Kimi Antonelli are out of the car and going over the data with their engineers.
The incident between Liam Lawson and Oliver Bearman is now under investigation by the stewards. Bearman was defending his position as Lawson came up on the inside and the pair made contact. After the hit, rookie Bearman told his Haas engineer: "Typical Lawson."

Franco Colapinto goes wide into Turn One and gets a lot of oversteer, he touches that same kerb in the exact same place as the other two drivers before him and sees the same fate.

Verstappen: "The car is just bouncing everywhere, it's terrible, can't pick up."
Engineer: "We are going to get you through some recommendations for turn one. Turn one looks very poor.
Verstappen: "No, it's just wet, I have no grip, it's not the balance"
Engineer: "We are giving you recommendations so that you avoid oversterring into the corner every lap, Max. Whether you take them or not is up to you."
Oscar Piastri, Nico Hulkenberg and Franco Colapinto were the trio of casualties at Turn Two, touching a tyre on the slippery kerb and spinning off one by one. This is a huge moment now for Lando Norris. He's leading the championship by one point and now his main rival - his McLaren team-mate - has crashed in the sprint race.
