Out on track, Charles Leclerc spots his target of Lance Stroll in a vulnerable position at Stowe. Mission complete. The Ferrari moves up into seventh place and is now chasing down his team-mate Carlos Sainz.
Lando Norris is told the team are going to keep their strategy "simple" if the rain arrives. Over at Red Bull, Max Verstappen is informed the wet stuff is heading Silverstone's way in five minutes.
The fastest laps are being banked consistently by race leader George Russell but the gap is still only 1.3 seconds to eight-time winner Lewis Hamilton.
The advantage for George Russell is 1.5 seconds over Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, with reigning world champion Max Verstappen a further 2.4 seconds down the road.
