Blondel through to defend title in Island Championships

Defending champion Danny Blondel and number one seed Bobby Eggo are both through the semi-finals of the Men's Island Golf Championships.

Blondel's passage into the last four came with a hard fought 2&1 win over Andy Eggo, the match ending on the 17th green.

Top seed Eggo had a more comfortable quarter-final tie, beating David Jeffrey 5&4.

David Bisson and Garry McFarlane make up the remaining semi-finalists.

Bisson went through with a one hole win over Steve Mahy, while McFarlane beat Jamie Blondel by the same margin.
