Interview - Paul Lawrie

Paul Lawrie believes it is too early to talk about a potential return to Ryder Cup action.

The Scot is sixth in the pecking order for the European team after ending the season with a second place finish at the Dubai World Championship.

A call up would be his first since he won The Open in 1999.

"If I can play well in the first dozen events then I think you're going to have a little bit of a chance at it, but that is a long way away," he said.

"My job at the start of next year is try and get off to a decent start.

"I've gone up to six on the list and top five get in, but there's a long way to go so I know that talk of making the team is very premature."
