European Masters: Graeme Storm ahead as Richie Ramsay struggles

Storm birdied seven holes in his third round in Switzerland

Graeme Storm carries a one-shot lead into the final round of the European Masters after overnight leader Richie Ramsay slipped back in Switzerland.

Englishman Storm was six under par for the day and 16 under overall - and he picked up a hole-in-one at the 11th to win a £114,000 car from sponsors BMW.

Scot Ramsay's round on par leaves him tied for fifth, four shots off.

Welshman Jamie Donaldson is 12 under while his European Ryder Cup team-mate Victor Dubuisson is 10 under.

"I had a hole-in-one earlier in the season in Morocco and won a lamp so I think this prize just about tops that one," said Storm.

"To win a car is absolutely magnificent especially as I have had to sell mine because we couldn't afford to have two cars any more."

Seven birdies helped Storm into the lead, despite three bogeys.

"This feels great. It's unbelievable," said Storm, who has missed the cut 14 times in 23 events this season.

"I did not expect to shoot a score like that today to be honest because I have been struggling all year, so to be in this position is marvellous."

Storm's compatriot Tommy Fleetwood is 15 under - one shot ahead of American Brooks Koepka and one off the lead.

"My game has been good the last few weeks," said Fleetwood. "I'm generally finding it on the range but then it's always important to take it out onto the golf course.

"My iron play today was really good, I don't remember a shot I did not hit on my line and I got on a roll with the putter midway through the round so it was just a great day."

Ramsay bogeyed three of his opening four holes but birdied the sixth, seventh and eighth before dropping a shot at the ninth. Another birdie on his back nine took him to par after rounds of 62 and 66 on days one and two.

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn - the other European Ryder Cup team member in the field - is 12 shots off the lead.
