Women's British Open: Ko Jin-young and Teresa Lu share lead

Jin Young Ko is tied for the British Open lead after a third-round 69

South Korea's Ko Jin-young and Chinese Taipei's Teresa Lu share a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the Women's British Open at Turnberry.

Wind and rain posed problems, but Ko and Lu coped well to card three-under 69s to go to eight under.

Overnight leader Suzann Pettersen (72) is seven under, a shot ahead of Japan's Mika Miyazato, who shot 70.

England's Melissa Reid finished with an eagle and a birdie to give her a three-under 69, taking her to four under.

PGA Championship winner and world number one Inbee Park's 69 left her as part of a group of three players on five under along with Lydia Ko of New Zealand, who shot 72, and Australia's Minjee Lee, who carded a two-under 70.

Reid, who is four shots off the lead in a share of eighth place, is confident of a strong finish on Sunday.

"I'm not too far off," said the 27-year-old from Derby.

"If I can just sort out the first few holes where I've been dropping shots then I've certainly got a chance.

"I feel like I'm putting really well and my swing feels good so I'm going to go out there tomorrow and give it my best shot."

Reid has the same overall score as South Korea's Ryu So-yeon, who dropped a shot on the last to finish with a 73.

Wales' Amy Boulden is a shot further back, after she carded five birdies during one of the rounds of the day; a four-under 68.

"It was tough out there and the wind was strong," said the 21-year-old from Llandudno, who grew up playing links golf.

"In the British Open, you want it to blow, you want it to be tough conditions. You don't want the top players going out and shooting seven under, you want to grind it out and that's an advantage for me."

American Stacy Lewis, who won this event in 2013, carded an even-par 72 and is tied for 20th on one over, the same score as England's Hannah Burke, who made up a shot during her round of 71.
